The garden environment on the river, friendly and helpful staff, great food, interesting and stunning architecture with many of the Geoffrey Bawa original furnishings. Gorgeous swimming pool?!

The room was lacking conveniences of working electric outlets for charging personal technology, a place to plug in a hairdryer, mirror in the bedroom, and a closet large enough to hang the clothes for 2 people.

I cannot write an objective review for the place since from me this was like a pilgrimage because I am just a huge fan of Geoffrey Bawa. Just being there was a dream come true! The staff is exceptional, very thoughtful and well mannered. The small touches like the happy hour where they serve home infused gin and tonic ( Bawa’s favourite) by the Lunuganga is an experience in itself. The sense was of history , his whimsical sense of design , his attention to detail is a learning in itself.. What a legacy !

F&B was just ok, nothing top notch

It’s heaven. A must have experience once in a life time.. this beautiful property has built character over a long time.. go when you need calm, go when you need clarity go when you want to talk to self and go when the chaos of the world fills you.

The room we stayed had a very uncomfortable bathroom. And the half wall of th open toilet and bathroom was a bit overwhelming

The property was beautifully and perfectly maintained by the staff members. Every single view from a standing position was so picturesque and was a breathtaking scenery. The staff members are well mannered and very kind to show us the great work of Geoffrey Bawa. We were able to experience the beauty of the guest house, the landscape, and the art works in the property.

We loved everything!
