The Villa was fantastic for our family stay. It was small but cosy and had some shared lounge/kitchen facilities that we put to good use. It was in lovely Kyoto small back streets. The staff were fantastic and accommodating.

There were a lot of sirens constantly and overnight. It was a little cramped for five people, especially when the futons were set up.

super quaint, cosy and clean. We used the bicycles to get around Kyoto which we loved. The accommodation itself was so cute and homely. We could have easily stayed there longer. The owner was very accommodating and allowed us to leave our bags while we went for fire ramen on checkout day. Internet was very good too

We couldn’t find any tea bags, that is our only recommendation. Everything was great.

Very quiet spot. Super comfy bed. There was an issue with our booking but the staff upgraded us for free to allow us to fix it.

The manager was really helpful and nice, had a very traditional Japanese feel that me and my partner were both looking for.

The atmosphere is dreamlike. There has been a inconvenience with the booking, but it was handled promptly by the owner.

The air conditioning in the room "Gallery" is noisy and in general the room is very cold and takes a lor of time to warm up.

The host was very helpful and answered quickly. The beds were very confortable.

The ambience of the house was amazing! We stayed at the Gallery, so the old sale's area for silk within the house, we had a separate shower and toilet and the community room with kitchen was also next to our room. The house super close to Nijo castle and the famous Nishijin-ori district, so you can easily walk around and see very traditional houses in the heart of ancient Kyoto. When we had questions about the house, we were always able to contact the owner and the replies were very fast and friendly!

Since it was winter it was pretty cold when we had to go to the bathroom, since one has to go out of the room for it. I guess the house would be even better in spring or autumn but I would absolutely go there a second time!
