MainStay Suites Great Falls Airport

Everything was excellent really enjoyed. The trip stuff was friendly, and the area was amenable.

Reserved 2-2 queen bed suites with a small kitchenette & refrigerator; I also requested adjoining or next door rooms (made the reservation 4 months prior). When I arrived at the property I had to wait for 10 minutes because nobody was at the front desk. Finally someone showed up and started to check in. She said all the rooms for Mainstay Suites were taken because they overbooked, but that the Sleep Inn side of the hotel had available rooms, but only had a mini refrigerator (that barely worked) and no kitchenette. A kitchenette/refrigerator are important for food accommodations and medication that needs to be kept cold for my child. At first the manager assigned us to rooms on different floors, but the desk lady was able to change them to the same floor. She charged me the same price as the other rooms and I didn’t have the energy to argue because there was no manager on site and her power to change things were limited. The rooms themselves were clean and well maintained, but the management was terrible.

We stayed at this hotel for five nights while visiting Family. The room was perfect for us. The parking lot lobby and hotel was very clean. The staff of Cassie and Adam outstanding. The breakfast fit as well, but unfortunately, they ran out of food several days. I would highly recommend this hotel based on our experience.

Was supposed to stay at this hotel for three nights in June 2025. Called three days before to confirm that they had us booked in the two queen bed room that we booked. Was told yes, they did. The morning we were leaving to fly out of town got a call from the hotel asking me if we were planning on staying at the hotel and I said yes and then I was told they didn't have our room. They could put us in a room with a king bed in a different part of the hotel. I told them that wouldn't work because our son was going to be with us. He said there wasn't anything he could do about it. After I complained a little more he put me on hold and came back and said he could put a roll away bed in the room for my son and I said that is ridiculous how could we not have a room even after we confirmed it and then the truth came out. They had a big party checking in and they gave them our room. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Why not let me know the day I called to confirm or better yet, let me know when they booked the other party and try and help me find a different hotel. I did talk to Choice Hotels about it and they opened a case and were going to deal with the hotel. Never again will I try and stay at this hotel and I should have known better I had a few issues last year and apparently things have not changed. Do not stay here.

Property was okay. Needs a bit of TLC in the rooms as our bathroom door didn’t close and our shower door leaked like crazy. Breakfast was just okay but we were there on a very busy weekend so that didn’t help. But clean and close to things! Not a bad place at all!
