Aloft by Marriott Mooresville

Modern, fun vibes, great bar area, comfy bed & free water in the room.

No iron in the room, I always like some sort of continental breakfast, and had to ask for a complimentary water upon exit which appeared to be an exception.

The room rug was disgusting. Looked like dried blood on it. I called to ask for towels because I had a pet in my room and they were never brought up. My car was vandalized while in the hotel parking lot. I will never stay at this hotel again.

I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the lobby, the hallways and our room. Pulling up the trash can was overflowing and garbage was on the floor so that was not the nicest welcome. The lobby on various occasions was littered with snacks and looked like the cleaning crew didn’t show up. The hallways were dimly lit and had litter on the floor. Our beds weren’t made two of the four nights, and the toilet area was visibly dirty upon check in, which was an immediate turn off. But my kids loved the lobby games, computer and pool table. The pool was over chlorinated so my son was interested in going back in after the first time, which was the sole reason we picked this place. Oh there was no breakfast, which I missed when making the reservation so that’s my bad. The staff was really friendly and everything was new. I wouldn’t stay here again tho, I’d go next door to the Tru.

I booked the hotel through Booking.com. Unfortunately I was called for a last minute business trip. I went through Booking.com to try and get some partial refund, but the Marriott Aloft property did not answer. To make it worse I am a lifetime platinum Marriot member. It was a price differential that caused me to go through booking.com. I will never do this again. As far as the Mooresville Aloft, who I have stayed there before, they made a little bit of money off me, but damaged the Marriot reputation with me.

Overall everything is good and the location is convenience friendly staff, except for the bathroom and I don’t like, because is wild open and it has no privacy, if you want to take a shower and you don’t feel comfortable .

Convenient to interstate, has a hip vibe, pet friendly, Tesla charging stations.

At the end of the day, it was a place to sleep. Had several little issues but nothing to scathe about. Hardly ever saw someone at front desk so had to wait several minutes for them to show. But when they did, they were very helpful. Noticed several garbage cans overflowing and garbage on ground. Beds were not comfy. The thermostat in the room had a major delay. Adjusted it down one degree and the T-stat kept flashing “wait”. Flashed for a good 5 min before the AC finally kicked on. Had to let the shower run for 7-8 min before any hot water would come out. Then it was not very hot. Like I said, bunch of little things.
