The Myriad

I took this long to write this review because as I think about this stay, I am stressed. The condition of the place was terrible, the entrance hall was dirty, the bed sheets was stained (luckily I had a blanket to use) , the pillows needed to be disposed of - fully stained once the covers are removed. I check pillows as my husband suffers from allergies. Literally you could write in the dust on the furniture (someone dusted just the front 3 inches on the top of the furniture). The carpet was literally soaked with dirt, had to keep our shoe on for the few hours we endured in the place, luckily our child had a small dorm room at UCLAN and we stayed there into the night. I took some pictures for evidence. Even the kettle for some hot water needed descaling. It was terrible. The bathroom was fair but still had shivers In using it because of overall conditions. The room was extremely hot. I would say, put as much effort in cleaning as in communicating, got so much contact felt like stalking. This listing should be removed until improvements are made and verified.

Easy walk to the town. Easy access. Quiet and comfortable.

From the outside you couldn’t tell where this place was. No name on the building. looked a bit disheveled from the outside. No real parking.

Minutes away from the uni, we took are own food to cook whilst there, the walk up fishergate is so worth it lovely place loads of place to eat and the parks lovely

Could have done with a fan, but we did go during the heatwave

Perfect for what we needed, plenty of space. Good communication, close to railway station.

Next to a busy road. Security deposit required but refunded straight after stay.

Not much

It wasn't clean !!! Kitchen cooker and furniture very old and greasy!!! Entrace is on a back actually and right outside are 3 BIG bins which smell horrible!!! We couldn't stay outside because the smell from bins was very strong and bad. We paid for early check-in but we didn't get it. We received message with door code normally with 1 hour before 1500. The door handle ( which is the locker by the way ) is old and hard moving. Overall all flat is not modern, floor is bad installed and windows and all flat is shaking when the TRAIN passes. We didn't mentioned that TRAIN station is so close . Over the night ,you can get up from that noise so the nights are not that good for a real slep. I won't recommend this location to anyone. Very very disappointed for more than £500 ? My friend from same city pays £650 a huge house with garden per month. Expensive, not as in description, not giving all the details ( bins outside, train noise, floor and window shaking)

Really bad stay. I got here after looking at the overall rating in Booking.com, which is decent. However, I regret not reading the reviews properly. My stay was during the first week of July 2025. It took me a bit to find the address, as Google Maps shows The Myriad to be in a different building. The building has no reception, I was given an access code once I paid a £100 deposit (in case I damage something in the building...) The entrance corridor and the stairs are in a horrible state, stains, patches, weird smell, etc. My room (room 5) was very dirty when I arrived. Dust everywhere, hairs in bed, lots of stains on the carpet, very old furniture. The room was boiling hot, the windows only opened about 5cms and had to play around with some keys to finally open them fully. I had to wait a full day so I could get an electric fan delivered, so I couldn't sleep properly during the first night. I am really not sure why I had to pay a 'cleaning fee', not once the room was cleaned during my whole stay. I was given a wifi code, but I couldn't connect to the network during my whole stay. There was no shampoo in the shower and no milk for tea. Overall, a horrible stay. There are other properties not far that give a way better experience at a similar cost.
