Kazinga Wilderness Safari Camp

A backpacker's roadside camp posing as a wildlife lodge... please be honest about what you have to offer!...Unfortunately, nothing to like because the pictures did not match the actual property perhaps due to the dry season, perhaps due to the roadside location.......perhaps due to the incompleteness of the property- ongoing construction.... and lack of basic common facilities such as a covered restaurant, etc... all that I saw was an open-air area/structure next to the road..... A very costly case of false advertising for a 3-room booking thus a hefty price to pay despite not staying there due to an elder relative being unable to maneuver or walk on the risky footpaths etc.....You could have been more considerate and not charged us $526 as a cancellation fee despite the night's booking being $423- proper con it was! despite us not being able to stay there. A total fraud is what this place is! We were too tired to fight and argue and had an elderly person with us and we did not wish to ruin her holiday otherwise, we would have never agreed to such extortion!- despite a complaint to booking.com- this was not resolved. So we gave you a chance to sort this out.

There was not much to like and we did not end up staying at the property..... accessibility for an elderly person is impossible. Had planned to treat an elder relative to a break but the pathways themselves were rocks placed together and a major hazard, the outdoor showers were not ideal either, and the overall fact that the lodge is more of a road-side back-packers brought around the edges place that is overly priced does not auger well with me. We went on to other lodges in the area which were 100% nicer, cheaper, cleaner, and better located. We had to pay for the night regardless and we were still overcharged for this cancellation.

Good breakfast although the coffee was overly strong. We couldn't drink it.

The seating in the restaurant and lounge areas need updating. Not very comfortable on the back. Also, the bugs were extremely annoying especially eating dinner in the evening. For the price of the room, we should have had 2 pillows per person on a king size bed. No toiletries provided. Shampoo and body wash not provided.

Great location, just near 2 Park Entrances. It was a bit ( too ) quiet, since we were the only guests. The bungalow are great, spacious, light and a superb outside-shower.

There is not a real reception, upon arrival it was not clear were to check in.. Paying with a creditcard seemed difficult, but at last we succeeded..

The location is wonderful. Robert with his staff took care of us . The food takes long to prepare but Is very tasty and worth the wait.

Breakfast was fine. Our Lodge was a bit of a walk and I suffer from Afib so we drove the 500 mtrs back and forth. Great staff. Francis rules! Wifi no good at outer Lodges so they need a booster.

Distance to our Lodge

Fantastic location. Wildlife roam around the room. Gives you a really authentic feel. Staff were great and arranged a trip for us. Very good value for money. We even saw a hippo during the night next to our room. Outdoor shower was amazing!

Wi-Fi was non-existent.

Very nice clean cottages, friendly staff, beautiful location.

The wifi was not working and a lot of music in the middle of the night from the village

Amazing location with Hippos grassing at night next to your cottage - never forgettable memories. Loads of wildlife in and around the lodge. Dinner was a good quality 3 course local buffet which has to be paid extra as well as breakfast. Cottages are very spacious

Cottages are super spacious and beds super comfortable but no need for 2 extra beds in the cottage, a sofa area would be better- Just an idea. Fully aware that you cannot control the number of mosquitoes/flies in your lodge but mosquito coils/spray might be helpful
