"Bad"

Location was easy to get to and near to the caverns national park

Pullout bed sofa had food crumbs and cockroaches. Late night when I went to bathroom the sink also had cockroaches. We left a day early because I couldn’t sleep knowing cockroaches are crawling. We booked this hotel for 2 days but left after spending 1st day.

The rooms were very clean and quiet ALL night!! The front desk staff were very friendly and extremely helpful!! Heather helped locate a LOST TV remote! Thank You Hyatt HOUSE and Heather for a great stay!!

"Front desk is lacking in customer service skills"

The front desk is lacking in training and good customer service skills. But if that isn’t something that is important to you definitely stay here since the hotel itself and housekeeping is amazing. Very nicely cleaned rooms and breakfast was good for hotel breakfast.

"Excellent"

We had a nice stay at the Hyatt House in Carlsbad. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was good, and the gym was nice too. One of our rooms wasn’t ready on time at check-in but that was just a minor inconvenience. I would also recommend anyone with a bad back to be cautious as I didn’t find the mattress to be very comfortable. Overall though, I would say we had a nice visit and am glad they are pet friendly.

"Not what I anticipated."

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The rooms were nice. The breakfast was not good, it seemed like fake food. I did not eat all of what I thought was sausage, biscuits and eggs. They did not seem to be real. Staff seemed to be unengaged. I paid a premium price for the room and did not receive the value. The hotel seems to be catering to the company business traveler, oil field. For that market, this is a great option. Especially extended stay. It is not where I wanted to go for a Carlsbad experience.
