Hostal Cann's House

Nelly, the host is a fantastic host, she was so helpful and friendly. Although our Spanish was not as good, she tried her best to help us understand and recommend us different trips and activities in the area. She even picked us up from the ferry when we arrived there and make good breakfast! The rooms are recently renovated and were very comfortable. There was a nice warm super and the room was extremely clean, it was cleaned every day during our four night stay. Would definitely come back again!!

There is no separate door between the bedroom and the toilet. This makes it a bit awkward if you’re using the toilet and your partner is on the bed next to it.

A nice getaway close to the beach. Nelly and her staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room clean and appealing. There is coffee and water downstairs. This place is in the village, a few hundred meters from the beach.

Welcome home! That was how we felt when arrived and stayed at Cann’s. Nellie, the owner was kind enough to pick us up at the ferry terminal and immediately check us in even though it was only 9am. She provided us with information for places we can go during our 3 days stay. She recommended and made the reservations for our 360 Island Tour and the Highlands Tour, which were both wonderful experiences. Location is in a quiet neighborhood and is about 5-10 mins to Playa Mann and also Main Dock business area. The property is gated, feels secluded and private. Rooms are modern and spotless. And the good air conditioning in the room really helps in having a good night rest after a long day of excursion. The daily breakfast is cooked by her sister Marbella and she always ask for our preferences and choices the day before. Home cooked and simply yummy. Ability to speak Spanish will help enhance communications with both ladies but with translation tools, non Spanish speakers will still be able to enjoy staying at Cann’s. It is like staying with a family or friend in a very nice mansion in San Cristobal.

Wonderful! The rooms and facilities were so clean, and everything worked great. The breakfasts were delicious! The location was great- we could walk everywhere easily. Our 4 night stay there flew by. But best of all was Nelly who was so helpful. When the boat tour was sold out, she called a friend and found us a boat! She picked us up from the airport and, arranged for a specific taxi for us- someone she knew would be a perfect match to drive us into the highlands. She gave great restaurant recommendations and told us where the local celebration of Independence would be. Thank you so much for making our stay in San Cristobal amazing!
