Jungle Paradise

Booking this stay last minute was one of the highlights of my trips in Nusa Penida. The communication upon booking was friendly and I truly felt as if I was staying at a friends house. Make sure to follow the directions in the welcome email as if you try to follow GPS, you would likely go a different route. When I got there, Michael and the staff greeted me with the warmest welcome and I instantly felt relaxed. The room was private, clean, COLD, and everything I ever needed was only a phone call away. I fully utilized the pool multiple times a day as every time it got too warm, I just dipped in and popped right back onto the sun chair. The on site restaurant set me up for success every morning with delicious breakfast before I went to go explore the island. The one time I wanted to try a restaurant down the road, I walked down and Michael offered to pick me up since it was dark out and is a little difficult to find transportation if you don't have a scooter. With the hotel being up the hill, away from cars, noise, and traffic, you can really take in the starry sky. Cannot wait to visit again!

I loved everything about this hotel. Truly wish I had more time to stay there!

The positive. The beautiful swimming pool which had an aesthetic appeal. The Balinese staff were lovely and helpful. The not so good. The location is 2km away from the beach and if you don't have a scooter and wish to rent one, you will be stuck in “paradise” and will thus have to rely on a driver which will have to be pre arranged. The WiFi connectivity is awful. I know it’s paradise but these days WiFi is a commodity rather than a luxury. We only had breakfast which was very basic. Dinner was available, but only up to 7pm, so if you don't have any transport to take you to the numerous great restaurants at the beach, you might go to bed hungry. My main concern was that Michael, the manager/owner, was condescending and patronizing from the moment we arrived and proceeded to remind us of the many rules that apply in this establishment. - there is an extensive list in the room in case you forget. After requesting a scooter, he proceeded to remind me of the many dangers and pitfalls associated with riding a scooter in Bali, which I am sure is necessary for many of his guests. I had advised him that I am a seasoned and licensed motorbike rider having ridden in Bali before and yet he still felt the need to proceed with his lecture. In short, if you are going to rent a scooter, do it privately rather than involving Michael as he will manipulate the situation including the rental period, cost of rental, and petrol price whilst making you feel like a child in the process.

Difficult Rocky road access to the property, especially when you are on a scooter. The address of the property on the the Google map does not correspond to the actual position which makes it difficult to find if you book a taxi to /from the property. What could be improved: We stayed 7 nights, with the cleaning done daily but not the towels unfortunately.

The staff and Michael are so kind and welcoming, and giving great tips. Very peaceful and quiet place.

Nice place with lovely staff.

Nice and quiet location, but close enough to the beach and it’s easy to get around the island. Tony, the owner, together with all the staff made the stay perfect. He helps out with everything and arranges what you need for a fun and comfortable stay.

The Jungle Paradise is very nice and quiet place in the middle of the nature. Very close to the port and couple of restaurants.The beach is 5min away by motorbike Scooter is definetly need it because it is quiet far to walk somewhere. Tony organized everything what we need it. He made our stay stress free and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Room was clean, amazing open bathroom. Highly recommended for the people who likes the nature.

The place was quiet difficult to find, since the google map is showing wrong location. We got lost during the night. I definitely recommend to remember the location of the place ;)
