Hotel Palmeras

Good location. Nice cafe. Nice pool.

We were given 1/2 L of water in a bottle when we checked into our room. When we asked for a refill, they said “no”. Could we get some ice? “No”. There is no fridge, microwave or coffee maker in the studio rooms. Or any kind of drawers for clothing. A only one small one under each bed.

Pool was great and warm ! Towels provided on chairs . Staff very friendly.

Nothing but could use some hooks in the bathroom .

We liked the location,the pool area, the staff and the rooms housekeeping. We were very disappointed with our accommodations. We didn't like the constant moldy smell which lead to sinus and chest problems; odors from the shower drain with no sealed off drain top, no drinking water, 3 mornings without any water; continual dripping kitchen faucet; no hair blower. Upon request; a room safe, a toaster, edible kitchen utensils, and a cooking pot with lid were provided. Our 2 week stay cost us $42,000 pesos in cash, up front. We knew that a refund would not have been a consideration, so we stuck it out. Booking through Expedia we thought we were guaranteed good accommodations but we were wrong.

I had a kitchenette but it was so poorly stocked. No condiments, not even salt and pepper. No lids for the cooking pots, no oven. I cooked rice in a frying pan without a lid. I had to ask for a toaster, hairdryer and coffee pot. The hotel ran out of water every few days so I couldn't take a shower or flush the toilet. I understand this is an older hotel in Mexico, but for the price I expected more. There are no view of the ocean but the balconies look out on the pool. There was a lot of noise and constructions as they are building newer condos and hotels nears by. I could see the ocean from going up on the roof but there was not shade in the area. The staff was very kind and efficient the pool and room clean. I had a good stay. Lower your expectations if you plan to stay in this hotel.

The fan in the room was very loud. I had to shut it off in order to be able to sleep

Very, very basic.

No breakfast included. I didn’t get the best price. Other people told me they got 4 nights for 100$ less with another booking co. There really are not many extras here for a double bed room. No mini fridge or microwave. Pool super! There is a small restaurant within the entrance area and coffee. Very pretty place . Extraordinary location.

Better arrangements for putting your clothes saw as there was no closet and need fridge and microwave. That would be the standard that exists in USA and Canada.

Was a good stay. Very clean and friendly helpful staff. Older hotel so it needed a bit of work. Only downfall was no running eatrr so the water would run out until water truvk came. Close to everything amd lots of restaurants.
