Granville House

The locking mechanism on the entrance door was a bit awkward.

Granville House in York is in a very convenient location, within easy walking distance of grocery stores, cafés, and pubs. It makes exploring the city and enjoying local amenities simple and enjoyable.

On the downside, the property is very small and felt quite cramped. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable, and overall, the stay felt overpriced for what was offered.

Beautiful, spacious apartment with everything you need to feel at home. Located on a quiet street, but only a 15-minute walk from the center of York. Easy to find parking, even though the street is a bit narrow due to cars parked on both sides. Should I return to York in the future, I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice apartment. Clean and comfortable. Kitchen has what one needs to fix general meals. Washer is a great plus! Location is outside the city wall by a few blocks, but it’s an easy and safe walk. Host was very responsive and nice.

Absolute diamond of a place. It’s like a home from your own home. Had everything you needed, I don’t do it often but cooked my own meals 2 nights as you had an oven microwave hobs. Extremely comfortable, I don’t understand the negative reviews about the bed and the sofa. I found it extremely comfortable. The people that own this place are truly wonderful, I paid for an extra night as I felt really unwell on my first day and didn’t want to lose out on my trip and the hosts let me stay in the same room.

The front door was extremely annoying, it’s quite stiff to open and sometimes it took me a few mins to get out. The tv in the front room wouldn’t let me go on YouTube/Netflix after 2 days of me being there, it said there was no internet but the tv in the bedroom was perfect. Also not enough bin liners. But other than that the place was wonderful and I 100% will return. Thank you xx
