Kazzhol Park Hotel This was a very nice hotel, and we'd certainly recommend staying here again. Pros: - The breakfast was varied and plentiful, though no allergen labeling (disappointing), difficulty communicating with staff, and they never seemed to open on time. Don't bother going to breakfast before 7:30am. - Clean, well kept, modern. - Friendly front desk staff. - Free bottled water, dental kit, shampoo/condition/body wash, hand soap, q-tips, shoe shine sponge, and shower caps. - Plenty of TV channels, including several in English and at least one in French. Cons: - Don't shower for long, or the hot water will run out. - Pillows aren't great, though apparently there is a pillow menu (we only realized this when checking out). - The room cleaning schedule is strange. We were out of the room from 10am-4pm, and before 10am and after 4pm we put the "do not disturb" up. The DND was not up while we were away. But before 10am and after 4pm, they repeatedly left hangers on our door saying they couldn't clean the room because we were in there. Why didn't they do it between 10 and 4?? Cleaning rooms in the evening seems strange. - We were happy there was a mini-fridge, but they had it filled to the brim with junk they want you to buy. We want a fridge to store our food and drinks! So irritating. The cons were annoyances only, not huge deals. We still really liked this hotel. We just feel it best to share all of the details with potential guests.

If you must go to Almaty this is a nice hotel with a friendly staff. We had a room at the end of the hall. It was huge. The beds are comfortable, but breakfast leaves much to be desired. The location doesn't really matter seeing as there isn't much to see in the city. You can walk to St. Nicholas' Cathedral which is about the only worthwhile site. Almaty has nice high end shopping. If you are using the the taxi app Yandex Go be aware that the payment mechanism may not always work so have some cash on hand.

Everything about this hotel was exceptional. Very clean, extraordinary breakfast and very comfortable rooms.

This hotel boasts nice facilities and amenities, modern decor, and comfortable orthopedic bed and pillows. Some minor issues could use improvement, such as inconsistent shower water temperature and minor breakfast issues (omelet chef left station unattended to go to market). However, the real disappointment came from the front-desk staff’s subpar customer service and poor coordination. After we returned a half-raw chicken Kiev, the restaurant manager courteously offered to waive the charge for the entire dinner and provided a complimentary dessert as an apology. We thought that was very gracious and accepted the apology. Unfortunately, the front desk refused (to the point of harassment) to honor this gesture during checkout, leading to a very unpleasant and completely unnecessary billing dispute. They also insisted on charging us for beverages we had brought ourselves, mistakenly assuming they were minibar items (even though the minibar did not even stock these items). To elevate the guest experience, this hotel would benefit from enhanced staff training, particularly in customer service and communication.

We loved our stay here. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and assist us. The breakfast was the most extensive buffet we have ever seen; we were shocked that there had been negative reviews. The location is great. There is a nice park across the street and it’s a short walk to many great sights.

Location is ok

Location was in the middle of city. Indian restaurant spice mantra was a 10min walk and further 10mins to arbaat street. Hotel faces a park had nice views. Huge windows opened towards the park from our room and we loved the fresh air. Fridge was stocked with refreshments on payment basis. We stayed in a family room with connecting doors. They brought sheets and blankets for a sofa bed too without being requested. Provided us with a 3pin for our chargers. We had to leave at 5am in the morning to visit the canyons and kolsay lake. The hotel was kind enough to pack our breakfast neatly in boxes for each person. They included the entire breakfast buffet croissant, sandwich, fruits, cheese, honey, butter, boiled egg, salads and water.

Rooms are small and slightly crammed. Hot water was not steady in the shower. Pillows can.be better
