Akih Pods Hostel

The location is close to the beach and to some restaurants. The fridge is well organised with boxes to lable.

For us the main aspect was the payment: you cannot pay directly through booking and once you get there you have to pay eather by card (+4.5%!) or cash in colones (with a horrible rate! - in our case would have payed 11 USD more for the bad rate!). So eather way, you pay way more… To the hostel: The pods on top are really hard to reach and to put all your stuff up there it’s heavy… The whole place is not very clean (for example the showers), and just 2 showers for all the people is not enough…If you don’t like cats, the cat is everywhere and just jumps on you while sitting… It’s very hot in the room, which is very small and AC is not working during the day.

Akih es un lugar hermoso, rodeado de vegetación y con una energía muy linda. Desde que llegás se siente tranquilo y acogedor. La cocina al aire libre es uno de sus mejores puntos: es cómoda, práctica y hace que todo se sienta más relajado. Las habitaciones son amplias, limpias y muy confortables, ideales para descansar bien. Gabi es súper atenta y siempre está dispuesta a ayudarte en lo que necesites, lo que hace que la estadía sea todavía mejor.

We werden enorm vriendelijk ontvangen en mochten onze koffers alvast in het appartement zetten voordat we konden inchecken. De ruimte was fijn voor een nacht, zeker gezien de privé douche en toilet. Ook is er een koelkast en kookpitje als je wat wilt bereiden. Centrale locatie vlakbij bekend restaurant Kooks en aanrader: restaurant Pronto.

Alles was helemaal goed, het enige wat ik kan bedenken is dat je er rekening mee moet houden dat je geen handdoeken krijgt, dus neem deze zelf mee!

Es war der perfekte Aufenthalt in Santa Terressa. Die Mitarbeiter waren so freundlich und hilfsbereit und die Leute waren einfach nur fantastisch. Man konnte immer etwas mit den Leuten unternehmen und die Stimmung war immer gut

This is the best value place in Santa Teresa. The owner Gabi is super friendly and helpful. We stayed in the pods which were very private and good with the air conditioning. The kitchen is super well equipped and has two hobs and a huge fridge so there is always space to cook. The location is also good and only a few minutes walk to the beach.

La ubicación, la atención, el silencio y el gym

El piso de la ducha era de cemento sin cerámica, pero en general todo me gustó!
