Akih Pods Hostel

Vi hade en mycket bra upplevelse av detta hostel! Personalen var supertrevlig och hjälpte alltid till, allt var fräscht och städat, det fanns en stor och mysig uteplats att sitta på!

Everything was excellent... The staff is amazing and always ready to had a good chat and teach guests new words😉 beds are super comfy, facilities clean and neat. Kitchen is very well supplied and they have one of the cleanest and neatest fridges I've ever seen.

The cat constantly jumping on the kitchen counter and on the food😭 The shower heads need to be changed I reckon, but that's just my humble opinion.

We enjoyed the garden area and outdoor kitchen which was well organised!

The pods are really hard to get into as the ladder is really narrow and positioned in front of the locker instead of the bed so it's a lot of effort to get on and off. The main aspect we didn't enjoy was the staff though, particularly the main women who ran it as we overheard a not so nice conversation between her and someone else. They also have a cat in the hostel who is very sick and isn't receiving any help. The yoga is also quite expensive at $15 and the location is a little out of the way - EOS down the road has free yoga & is on the beachfront.

The pods were really really comfortable to sleep in, with a locker you can keep your things safe in. The kitchen was the best hostel kitchen we had during our trip. Quite big and very organized. Overall it’s a very social hostel and we met amazing people during both our stays. The staff is very welcoming and helpful.

The smoking area had the only remotely comfortable chairs.

Toilet/bathroom open vent into the kitchen, smelled like poop all day, lovely. Challenging to cook your meals, as most of the refrigerators were filled wt staff & volunteers food items. Nowhere comfortable to relax. 1 hammock for the entire place. Smoking area chairs are hard iron, and not meant for sitting/relaxing. Owners made volunteers pay for their pizza as well as to rent their surfboards wt no discount. To be straight, I almost completely forgot about this place after moving to ESO hostel, which was fantastic!

Great location and good facilities

Good Location, staff were really friendly and helpful. Very sociable, nice spot to meet people.
