The village is charming and is off the beaten path. You need a car to easily access the surrounding areas of Tralee and Dingle. The area offers lots of excellent hiking of varied difficulty. It’s low key. The pub offers good food and a place to visit with other guests.

Very small little town with one pub... But the pub was amazing - excellent food, cold beer, and local Irish music. I was able to hear people speaking Gaelic ❤️

This is a historic, family-owned guesthouse. It is located in a remote part of the Dingle peninsula. Owner is very entertaining, warm and aims to please. Area is really beautiful. There is a traditional pub on the first floor.

"Quiet retreat on the Dingle Peninsula"

10.0

Great stay on the Dingle Peninsula, and the guesthouse gave us time to explore the north side as well as taking the pass across to Dingle and the Slea Head Loop. Warm hospitality and a wonderful breakfast with ease of arrival and coming and going.

O’Connor's Guest House in Cloghane, Ireland, offers a charming retreat in a quaint village that feels like a step back in time. This cozy guest house is an ideal spot for travelers looking to explore the surrounding areas, providing a perfect overnight stay with a taste of local culture. The ambiance of the village is quintessentially small-town, with only one pub that serves as the heart of the community. The pub next door is a delightful highlight, boasting a warm atmosphere, hearty comfort food, and live music that creates a lively yet relaxed environment. With a history that stretches back generations, it’s a must-visit for anyone staying at the guest house. The experience of enjoying a meal here, surrounded by friendly locals, is truly memorable. O’Connor's offers clean and comfortable rooms, equipped with tea and coffee facilities, which is a nice touch for those chilly Irish mornings. However, it’s worth noting that my room did not have a TV, which may be a consideration for some guests. Other rooms might offer this amenity, but as a solo traveler, I found the quiet solitude quite refreshing. The guest house is also popular among walkers, thanks to the stunning trails in the vicinity. Whether you're embarking on a hiking adventure or simply enjoying a peaceful retreat, O’Connor's Guest House is a wonderful choice that embodies the charm and warmth of Ireland’s countryside.

Bar gets 5 stars! Lodging gets 1. Drink here, don’t sleep here. It had an old hostel vibe minus the quaintness. Walls were so thin we could hear our neighbor both pee and snore all night. The bar is in the guesthouse so plan to be up until 2:30/3am. If you can’t beat them, join them. We will not be returning.

Had probably the best stay here of our trip to Ireland so far. All staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. There were traditional singers in the bar which made for a really lovely evening and everyone in there talked to each other. Very sociable and fun. The evening meal was of great quality at a reasonable price and breakfast was huge. Would definitely recommend
