Aphrodite House

What a lovely find! Tucked away in a side alleyway in the old town, it was quite a vibrant spot because there was a bar, restaurant and bakery right outside the door. There were certainly lots of stairs so not ideal if you have mobility issues. It was perfect for our family of five. Everyone had plenty of living space. We were greeted with fresh fruit, water, juice, bowl of candy and reiki. There is a washer with a drying option, but as with most European machines, you’ll want to hang dry for full dryness :) good thing there’s a rooftop deck and it was sunny for us to put out our clothes! The location couldn’t be more idyllic for our needs. Right in Old Chania, we could walk everywhere we needed, to visit the lighthouse, for all of the dining options, and easily 8 gelato shops in a 2 block radius! Really loved this spot. One last thing to note is if you are bothered by noise, the Greek enjoy late nights of conversation, so you may hear that. We could all sleep through, but you may want some ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

Very charming with lots of character and in the best location. Beds and linen were great and very comfortable. There are special touches like some snacks, beach towels, two hairdryers, washer, ac in every room. Host is very friendly and responsive.

The house is on 3 levels, accessed by 3 steep staircases. This didn’t bother us but it would not be suitable for any with mobility issues.

The house was in a great location close to the harbour. The host left water juice raki bread fruit jam butter which was a nice touch. The house was spotlessly clean and was serviced twice during our stay. Aphrodite was very nice and offered her services for anything we asked.

The apartment is in the best location you can imagine - very central, but unexpectedly quiet at nights.

The house had everything you need (all kitchen utensils, bathroom appliances, etc), great location in a small street in the old town. Very helpful staff

Very clean property and a attentive host.

Strong smell of damp from kitchen, the stairs were a challenge. Other than that, everything was perfect.

It was in a perfect location with amazing services! They had everything we needed and more. Quick replies from the owners and never failed to help us.
