Cardinal Hotel

I didn't realize it was communal bathrooms but the bathroom on my floor was beyond disgusting and I had to walk down an entire floor to use it and it there was a line. Definitely not worth it and next time i'll stay in a best western over this place.

We held a reservation for 10 minutes and they charge me full price and would refuse to refund me my money back for holding a reservation for a room with a public hallway shared bathroom for 10 minutes that they themselves called me to let me know what a public bathroom and when I said oh wait I don’t want that they made me pay full price for the room anyway anyway. I went through booking to get my money back and called and emailed them and they have refused to refund my money. Beware.!!

Great location. Nice rooms. No A/C. Need a long mirror in room, perfect space behind the door. The restaurant Osteria downstairs is the best!

I just stayed at the Cardinal and quite enjoyed my experience. The photos looked a little confusing, because the hotel is obviously old and I wasn't sure it would be comfortable. My room and bathroom were absolutely spotless, and the lobby is very charming the way it is. The bed mattress and the pillows were among the most comfortable I've had over recent years (and I travel a lot). The real reason I am writing this review is that after I checked out the hotel staff wrote to me asking if I wanted to get back some of the items I left in the room (I actually discarded them as they wouldn't fit in my suitcase). And this was just a touching detail that made a huge difference. One interesting thing is that the hotel does not have an A/C. I did not need it at all but something to keep in mind in case the weather is hot. There was an electric Dyson fan in the room though, which might help--I did not use it. 100% recommend this place and would definitely stay again myself.
