The Horse Inn Hurst

I stay away alot for work and this was not a good experience. The staff i met were lovely but its not what i expected. They've done a good job with marketing photos. It was clean except for the leaking toilet and disgusting toilet brush that put me off. Travelling alone so safety paramount but felt anxious. Ate in pub and food and service good. Asked what time i wanted breakfast so said 8.30am but next morning found the door between pub and accommodation locked. Pub all closed up. I wasnt the only resident in same situation. Found man sweeping in yard who told me he didnt really work there and didnt know where the chefs were and advised i complain. So left without breakfast and feeling stressed.

The room was rustic but comfortable good bathroom- staff very helpful - very good breakfast

The extractor fan in the bathroom could not be turned off also a generator or air conditioner made a noise all night outside of my room. Had very little sleep!

Rooms are well equipped and very comfortable. Had lunch and breakfast here and the food was generously portioned and delicious. Very helpful and friendly bar staff where nothing was too much trouble. Well located to Hickstead show ground.

Location fantastic - short walk into town for shops etc. and playing golf at Singing Hills 👍🏻 great food at the The Horse, the Gyros was fab - missed brekkie as an early tee time but they offered a pack lunch - brilliant

The double bed was tiny and having an XL husband it wasn’t great, we needed the fan on all night as it was very hot 🥵 very noisy, needs replacing 👍🏻

Excellent breakfast !

Great B&B with lovely staff. Very clean room and great location. Didn't wake up in time for breakfast but the food looked lovely and saw it had great reviews! Would definitely go back.
