Our party stayed in rooms 1+ 2, the pub itself,the food , Hannah,rooms ,bed comfy,tea , biscuits,pod coffee machine in room good size shower,

Definitely need a new loo brush in our room . Although it was no problem for our party I could imagine noise from downstairs in pub could upset some people but there again why book a room in a busy pub 🍻 if it does. A few cobwebs in room but we soon knocked them down.

Really nice inn, nice bar and dining area. Although on the smaller size the room was lovely, unique styling and furnishings.

I was greeted to be told that there was no food, due to the chef being ill. Unavoidable and I hope the chef is ok now. However a simple phone call would have helped earlier in the day hugely as other arrangements could have been made on my 150 mile journey down. Instead it was like trying to get blood out of a stone trying to find out where was good to eat. I also then found out that breakfast isn't served until 0900 and then till 1100, sounds more like brunch. Apparently they no cereal either so couldn't even settle for a bowl of cornflakes. Whilst out sorting ING and evening meal (very good artisan pizza place in the high street) I bought my own box of cereal. I did however get a bowl, spoon and some extra milk. Obviously I didn't expect a discount as I didn't take breakfast when it was available but it didn't appear to be obvious on booking.com that breakfast wasn't served until late. Wasn't the best value for money for using a room for 12 hours, although it was a very nice room. The dimmer in the room needs looking at too, the lights kept going up and down by themselves.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent!

Limited parking ( 2 places only) but having said that, the chef moved his car and gave us his space! Amazing, thank you!

Unfortunately the character means that ceilings are very low in the room we were in. Shower facilities old and not really fit for purpose

Lovely traditional pub with character, ideally placed with very friendly and helpful staff. Food was lovely with generous servings particularly the breakfast.

We had booked the small room, but the en-suite shower was particularly tight.

Room was clean, pub was great, breakfast was amazing. When you first get into the room you come in to the bathroom first, quirky but I loved that.

The room had restricted head height, which made it impossible for my tall husband to stand up.

Breakfast was excellent on all 3 days and had nice evening meal. Room was very comfortable

Breakfast was just fine, we would have preferred an 8am option rather than 9am
