Excellent location, very nice cottage, well equipped. Nice to be able to walk out of cottage and see birds and wildlife

It is a shame that the restaurant only serves a three course set meal in the evening. We do not eat meat, and the menu does not specify what the vegetarian option might be. Three courses is too much for us, so we did not eat in the restaurant. We knw this in advance so took food for self catering

"Whales, flowers and antelope at De Hoop Collection."

We love De Hoop and stay there quite frequently. The staff are wonderful as is the location, restaurants, activities and as it's Spring all the flowers are out.

The only thing we didn't like was how cold the cottage was. It would be a good idea to put a small heater in the bedrooms in the colder months.

"Birders dream"

Set in a nature reserve it was ideal for us as birders. Was a relaxing setting. Cottage was well equipped and well looked after.

"We visited De Hoop several times and will return - breath taking nature !"

The location of the Vlei Collages is stunning . We enjoyed the early morning walk with guide Mzwandile. Very knowledgable. The restaurant is wonderful with delicious set menu and excellent wine collection .

The cottage kitchen is not well equipped. Clean towels only on request. Cottage not really clean on arrival. The pool water was green @ dirty - no apologies by staff that pool could not be used .
