Even though Casa Teka isn’t directly on the beach, the lush jungle atmosphere and the private cenote on the property more than make up for it. It became one of our favorite parts of the stay - perfect for a quick morning or evening dip, or simply to cool down during the day. The beach clubs are literally a one-minute walk away, right in front of the hotel. The breakfast here is outstanding. We were kindly offered it complimentary after arriving with one guest fewer than originally booked - a very thoughtful and generous gesture. We stayed in the Presidential Suite, which is absolutely stunning: a spacious, open two-floor studio with a small kitchen for cooking if you wish, a large bathroom and plenty of space - it can comfortably accommodate more than four people. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, and we genuinely felt taken care of throughout our stay. Such kind, attentive people.

Nothing really bothered us at Casa Teka.

Nice location right next to cenote which was kind of neat. Close to the beach. Was like being in a tree house.

1.About the cenote... The surrounding area seems to sit in a mangrove which borders the cenote. As you walk along the paths through the mangrove you are hit with a distinct smell of grey water which indicates to me the hotel's grey water is dumped into the mangroves. One can only expect that the grey water will then eventually make its way to the cenote. We swam in it and it was fine, but something to consider. 2. The room we had was extremely slanted down towards the front of the room, so much so that we would literally slide forward if we tried to walk in that area. There was a rug there which made it dangerously slippery and both me and my son slipped and fell. We eventually removed the rug for our safety. 3. The adjoining restaurant was good, but extremely overpriced. That's the hotel zone though, all extremely overpriced. 4. Unfortunately i would have had a better review if it wasn't for this concerning issue. The first day after we checked in the staff came to stock the mini bar, I told them it was not necessary as we will not be purchasing any of the items. After 3 times trying they insisted to stock it " just in case". When we checked out the receptionist told me we drank items from the mini bar. I explained multiple times that it wasn't true. So instead of telling me there must be a mistake, she backed out by telling me that they wouldn't charge for the items we drank because I complained about the slanted floor. So.... Careful seems a little shady that last point. I personally don't appreciate a business trying to squeeze extra dollars out of me by shady means. All in all I recommend staying in La veleta or central. The hotel zone is a trap. But that's my experience.

I liked everything about Casa Teka. From it’s location (if you’re aiming for this area) to the nice, comfortable, clean and spacious room to finally the most important part of my experience - Casa Teka’s Staff. They were always ready to help, book beach bars, answer questions. Amazing Experience.

Basado en nuestra experiencia, nada

Reservamos la habitación Presidencial basado en las descripciones del portal Booking, donde se da a entender que el hotel tiene un ambiente mas bien familiar. Lo cierto es que, la habitación Presidencial es el ultimo piso de la construcción, que tiene techo de palapa (básicamente hojas), por lo que el ruido que se siente dentro de la habitación desde los bares de alrededor es ridículo (desafortunadamente no puedo subir las grabaciones). En nuestro caso, viajamos con una bebe de 1 año y medio, por lo que entenderán fue nada confortable nuestra estadía de solo una noche (habiendo pagado 4). Adicional, las instalaciones no están preparadas para niños pequeños, hay muchos riesgos de caídas de altura debido al tipo de construcción. No obstante la reserva fue por 4 noches, después de la experiencia con la primera noche dejamos el hotel. Planteamos la situación a la administración quienes comentaron que NO existe política de reembolso, por lo que pagamos y perdimos 3 noches debido a la nefasta experiencia de la primera noche. La administración de Booking intentó contactar a la administración luego de nuestro reclamo, pero nunca recibieron respuesta. Para que lo tengan en consideración.

Beautiful location and rooms

Very lound at night due to local clubs nearby. Also there was nowhere to dry your beach clothing. Would be nice to have drying rack in shower room
