Freycinet Stone Studio 8 - Sandstone

The studio was EXACTLY as pictured. It was cosy and private. We loved that it was generously stocked with all essentials, not the usual 1 or 2 items but more than we needed. No scrimping here! It was also spotlessly clean. The location was perfect with a lovely view & close to a great little convenience store.

The location on the foreshore road & walking track with small but beautiful views was lovely. A plus the grocery, cafe & bar all nearby & tour boat jetty 5 min. The accommodation is new, simply set up and equipped with all the essentials and a few extra household items like paper towels, cling wrap, allfoil, S&P,tea & coffee ideal for short stays.(3Nights).

The entrance is obscure with a pathway leading to the rear and all the way around to the front, past air con, hot water, bits & pieces. . Difficult to change now and keep privacy for adjacent Number 7. Pathway should have been wider with screening for services. A small sign saying PLEASE FOLLOW THE PATH AROUND TO THE FRONT. Would be more welcoming.

Outside needed a good sweep and tidy up, internaly glasses did not match, lounge was uncomfortable , yard was untidy, view was poor from room did not encourage you to sit and enjoy.

A bit bleak,bare concrete floor and bare walls,made it miserable,also smaller than advertised as thought the bedroom was seperate but just one small room. Had to use seperate heater as couldnt get the air con unit to heat. There is a huge pothole in the driveway which nearly ripped the exhaust off our hire car. The cottages are not clearly numbered so we had difficulty finding the right cottage. Not being given the access code to get the keys until check in time 2pm is quite stressful when you also get an email saying nobody is available to help over that weekend,also not every visitor abuses the system.
