Grand Sunset Princess - All Inclusive

I loveee everything here! Everyone is so kind and the experience is amazing. The entertainment was very fun in the pool! Sara was fantastic and I love her energy!

We stayed at Grand Sunset Princess from June 12 to June 17, 2026, and unfortunately, this was the worst resort experience I’ve ever had. Our problems started immediately after check-in. We were not taken to our room until the shuttle was completely full. It felt like guests were not welcomed at all. Most of the staff seemed irritated and showed very little interest in doing their jobs. After waiting about 15 minutes and asking when we would finally be taken to our room, we were eventually transported there. However, our luggage was left at the reception desk. We waited nearly two hours for our bags. Eventually, we went back to the lobby to find out what was happening. A staff member with a very unfriendly attitude carelessly threw my suitcase into the shuttle. We got in as well, and he ended up dropping us off in the wrong location. I should also mention that we were not offered any welcome drinks, which is normally expected at a 5-star resort. As a result, our first day was completely ruined and left us with a very negative impression. The rooms themselves looked decent and relatively modern. However, there were some strange design issues. For example, in some bathrooms the door opens inward and nearly hits the toilet seat, making it very inconvenient for larger guests. The pool closest to the beach was extremely dirty. There were constantly cups, debris, and dead insects floating in the water. Pool cleaning usually started around 11 AM, when many guests were already swimming. The water itself did not seem particularly clean. There was also a staff member spraying strong chemicals around the pool area while people were swimming. It appeared similar to an industrial cleaning product, and the liquid would run directly into the pool. Children and pregnant women were swimming there at the same time, which was very concerning. Another employee used a blower to remove dust around 10 AM every day. He did not seem to care whether guests were relaxing nearby. Dust and dirt were simply blown onto people’s belongings and lounge chairs. The juices served throughout the resort tasted like water mixed with syrup rather than real juice. There were very limited non-alcoholic drink options. Even a simple virgin mojito was unavailable. The bars were constantly overcrowded and chaotic, making it difficult to get a drink. The lack of drinking straws was also surprising. There were very few attractive photo spots around the resort compared to other destinations we have visited. Overall, this resort does not justify its price and certainly does not deserve a 5-star rating. My rating: 2/10.

Incredible property! We loved seeing all the animals and the staff was incredibly friendly. We come on coming back for sure!

Todo pero no tiene mar

No tiene playa ni mar Completa de sargazo, sé que son condiciones naturales que no hacen parte del hotel, pero uno de los principales motivos para ir a este lugar es por su playa, deberían como hotel garantizar eso al huésped con descuentos o convenios con playas cercanas que no estén afectadas. Sin embargo no ofrecen garantía alguna, 7 días los cuales me hospede no pude ir a la playa el olor era a huevo podrido en todo el hotel al final te terminas acostumbrando

La playa tenía sargazo ( algas ) me hospedé por 7 días De los cuales jamás pude ir a la playa ni meternos en el mar. El olor es asqueroso y no se podía ingresar. Comprendo que son situaciones naturales ajenas al hotel Pero si el hotel debería tener un plan b Para esta condición el cual pagas un resort en el mar pero no tienes mar.

Prachtig resort. Mooie en ruime kamers. Koelkastje met gratis water en ander drinken, werd elke dag aangevuld. Eten en drinken goed. Voldoende keus. Leuk zwembad.

Het was heel erg groot. Rondom resort niets te doen. Je komt er als buitenstaander niet zo maar op, taxi werden geregistreerd voordat ze verder mochten. Aangewezen op taxi om naar playa del Carmen te gaan. Ze hebben nu veel problemen met zeewier op het strand wat mega stinkt, je rook het op het hele resort. Strand nu ook niet toegankelijk.

The food was ok

The cart to take you around the resort took forever and the staff wanting to charge for using towel for spills in room very weird and the first night I was sleeping in 82 degree from AC not working
