The Woods Inn

The property was very nice a nd lent itself to a very relaxing get away for us. It is not overtly fancy and the amenities are sparse but clean and functional. Management was pleasant and very attentive. The one thing I disliked ws that the door to the room and the bathroom would not stay closed unless locked. There was also quite a large gap under doors so privacy was not as complete as it could be. Nonetheless, if you are looking to get awaqy from it all, this is a great location. Gorgeous lake front, food was surprisingly incredible! Wait staff was so very nice and pleasant.

The hotel is historic, and that also means it is old, so it shows its age in places but is nonetheless a lovely and comfortable place to stay. A low-key charm that isn't fussy. Definitely go out to the dock morning and evening!

Beautiful old place, well-kept, but in need of some upgrades. You can’t beat the location and lake view. Our room required climbing four flights of stairs from street level and there’s no elevator. This should be made known to guests before they commit. Dinner was excellent and service top notch. Best meal we have had in the area in years. Wifi worked very well which was a lifesaver because phone and cell service was impossible. Reportedly there is a new tower being built to address that.

We are regulars for several years. The duck breast is excellent. So is the venison when they have it. It is for sale. Charlie and the chef do a great job. Daily pasta dish. I like the beet appetizer. Deserts come out on a tray for selection.

Quite the stay. A wonderful Adirondack Lodge. We look forward to our next stay!

Beautiful setting!

This is an old inn with no elevator but beautifully situated on Fourth Lake with a beach, dock, lawn, restaurant, kayak rentals, a fun family-friendly pub with karaoke and pool for the teens. I've been coming for years and love it--walk to town beach, the ice cream shop, coffee and cafes. It is a bit dated but very clean and tastefully deocorated in ADK style. Very good for the money.

We had lovely stay. The property was great location as it is right in Inlet. The only complaint is that our room adjoined with another room and there was about a 2” gap at the bottom of the door. We could hear everything from the adjoining room.
