Lovely family vibe, really friendly staff, enjoyed the jacuzzi bath

Parking was a little tricky

Loved the original features and it was so peaceful Fabulous food and the staff were so friendly and helpful

Shower was a bit temperamental

Absolutely stunning property and the staff (family) that run the hotel are extremely friendly and helpful. Myself, partner and son were treated incredibly well and looked after in every sense. Incredible property with a rich history, lovely views and in a good location. We will not stay anywhere else now when looking to re book.

The lounge bar, comfortable, but only if the fire is alight. The staff, bar and kitchen, were brilliant and a credit to you, the breakfast was excellent - and I am really picky!! Though no direction as to where to sit or what to do next!

Seemed tired, lack of lights at the entrance, lack of direction to the entrance.. Windows tired and half sorted. Had a spa bath, however, couldn’t use it, as nowhere enough hot water to make it viable.- not only that, but a total lack of a shower alternative, that is now,an imperative.

Very cosy and friendly hotel. It's a little bit out of the way but no problem to get a taxi into town. Comfortable and welcoming and extra bonus of being able to use the bar on an honesty basis later in the evening.

Nice aesthetic, beds were comfortable with good quality linens. Quiet. Good breakfast. Staff were very accommodating.

Quality of evening meal was middling, and while everything was generally clean there were a few things like a bit of mould in the shower which took the edge off a nice experience.
