Sotetsu Fresa Inn Yokohama Higashiguchi

Just a quick stay for my ongoing road trip from Tokyo to Osaka.

Overall it’s a convenient business hotel near Yokohama station. Clean, convenience store directly attached, many restaurants nearby. I got there early and I get that the check in is 3 or I came back around 1pm. They tried to charge me by the hour for early check in. So I asked if the room is ready and they said it is. Yet they still tried to charge for an early check in. I found that to be absurd, very strange for Japanese people who are mostly extremely kind in general. I will not return.

Convenient location. Clean hotel and very nice staff. Location is less than a 5 minute walk to Yokohama Station and 5 minute walk to Bay Quarter shopping plaza.

Conviniently located, staff very helpful even with language barrier. Next to Lawson convenience store and metro transportation.

Great location! Minutes walk to the Yokohama station. Sogo and various malls all around the area. Hotel is very new and the provided room is spacious for us 2 adults with 2 tweenage kids. Like how the toilet is separated from the bathroom. Beds are wide enough for sharing with a kid. Provided amenities are excellent too. My kids loved it too!

The location is very close to Yokohama station and there is a convenience store on the first floor. The connecting room we stayed in was comfortable, with three beds and two bathrooms. The only drawback was that two (or maybe three) of the four coin-operated laundry machines were out of order, and the hotel did not appear to be repairing them, even during the busy New Year's holiday season. We had to make a late night trip to a laundromat about a 10-minute walk away, which was a challenge. Other than that, it was generally a good experience.

Staff were friendly and hotel was in a convenient location near Yokohama station and shopping areas!
