"Very disappointing breakfast"

The location

Breakfast is supposed to be served 6am to 9am...I went downstairs 825 am...I started with getting a cup of tea....I poured the water from the canister....it was cold...the man at the front desk was nice he went and got us hot water. We proceeded to the Breakfast food area. I went to get pancakes and the machine was empty of mix....the lady in charge of Breakfast area refused to reload it with mix....by this time several more people have come for breakfast...some had children.....the eggs were cold as well as the sausage...all that was left was cold cereal and fruit. We paid to have a HOT breakfast. 10 mins later the 2 ladies in charge of the breakfast area came from the back with food and sat down and were eating.... it was 850am... there was still people coming down looking for Breakfast...they didn't seem to care...when I booked this room it said BREAKFAST INCLUDED...it didn't say WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. They were just lazy and didn't want to have to refresh the Breakfast area but the staff made sure they ate breakfast. I would understand if it was after 9 am. I will not recommend this place.

"The stuff was great but the room was terrible"

The bed

That the room didn't have a microwave or trash cans and the shower door didn't close, and the breakfast bar was crappy and the coffee had coffee grounds in it

"TRU is a great line of hotels"

Convenient location on my drive from South Carolina to New York. Very good price for the amenities offered. Pet friendly. I loved the small gym on site for a light workout in the AM.

The electricity went out in the morning and never came back on, making it difficult to shower, pack up, dress, and enter and exit the building. I asked the front desk if there was any compensation for the inconvenience and was told "no, that's Dominion energy's fault, not ours."
