Is amazing time is me family

The hotel was freezing throughout and the heating was only turned on just before I arrived. The room was tiny and the duvet was a summer one. I am from the North as well so not a softy. Would have been okay if it was cheaper but expected more tbh.

Very helpful hosts. Went out of their way to be of service. Everything was dealt with very promptly. Rooms very clean and appeared recently decorated. My partner found her bed too hard for her liking and didn't sleep well. I slept fine. Water pressure in the en suite shower was low.

This was better than the photos suggest. It turned out to be a well-run small hotel where everything worked and the owner was actively looking after people without being intrusive. Cosy bed, quite good and very plentiful food. Easy-going.

The staff were very friendly and the hotel is very dog friendly. In fact there is a large park within 5 minutes of walking from the hotel where the dog can be exercised. The food was also excellent and was freshly'home cooked'.

The location in Dumfries and Galloway allowed me to access locations associated with The Wicker Man film so managed a few in a very short time. The staff were very friendly and very helpful and breakfast for veggies was excellent. My Westie Max enjoyed his stay and the fuss he received. A well situated historic property in Castle Douglas.

Good single room, no on suite bathroom/toilet end of passage for my personal use. Very clean hotel, friendly helpful staff, Only ate breakfast, large well cooked meal. With plenty of extras. Hotel has a good reputation for excellent food. Enjoyed my three night stay.
