"Disappointed for the first time at a Hyatt"

Stayed at Hyatts for 20 years and I have never had to pay for breakfast what a suprise when then told me I had to pay for it. It seems like this is a newer Hyatt place and they have done some design changes to the bathrooms...not a fan.

"Good place to stay in Amarillo"

We stayed here for 2 nights in september. This was a good place to stay for going into the city or visiting the nearby Palo Duro Canyon State Park. Our room was nice, staff were nice and helpful, breakfast was good with plenty of choice. So, we can recommend!

"Good for a night or two."

The pool is heated. Staff was friendly.

Pool area didn’t have a spa. Bed had huge memory and was a bit uncomfortable

Hyatt Reputation

When checking in I confirmed that the assigned room was handicap accessible. The attendant confirmed it was. When we took all our luggage to the room - it was not handicap accessible. Took everything back downstairs and told attendant that the room was not handicap accessible as she said. She did not apologize but did give us another room that was handicap accessible.

"K-9 Americans Welcome Here!"

Nice hotel - everything seems new and fresh. Staff is friendly and the location is fine - just off Interstate 40 on Amarillo’s far west side. Among the more memorable aspects of our stay was the high percentage of guests traveling with dogs. Don’t get me wrong - I like dogs. But I prefer to stay at hotels where dogs are not allowed. This location was still clean and fresh despite the dogs, but I wonder how long it will remain so clean and fresh. If you’re traveling with your favorite K-9 American, this Hyatt is the place for you!

"It was great and clean!"

I can stay anywhere as long as it is clean! Hyatt Place Amarillo-West did a great job of this. Rooms were clean, hallways and lounge were as well.

"Bring extra money, I slept in the car with my dog instead of inside"

My wife and kids stayed in the room that was nice. I stayed in the car with the dog for the one night we were there because it would cost us 75$ for her to come in. It was additional money for the breakfast we decided to skip, but the few coffee was also bad. Unless you have the money to pay for all the extra stuff, or just need the nice room we wouldn't come back.
