Rainier Guesthouse (Walk to Metro)

Very nice rooms, convenient to airport and downtown.

The property was nothing special, kinda basic shared quarters. The towels and bedding were sufficient. Kitchen was very sparsely furnished. Wouldn't have been enough if all the rooms were occupied. Inside the kitchen cabinets was not clean. Under the roof eaves over the deck was a HUGE WASP NEST!!! That should be removed immediately, as it should have months ago. I didn't expect to be responsible for my own trash; that should be part of the host responsibility, I thought. Overall the stay was ok; just not outstanding.

I felt I got what I paid for. The shower was good and had a lot of water pressure. Neighborhood was loud, there was a party going on next-door.

They said their card reader was broken last minute before my flight out and to use zelle or PayPal. I told them PayPal over email because I didn't want my money stolen and they never replied back. I called 4 times all throughout that day and only got voicemail with no way of leaving a message. I then got a text saying they were canceling my stay for not paying the day of my flight out. I responded very arritated and was told they were banning me from all of their properties. Seems like a scam property setup to me but that was just the vibe I got from talking with Lee at Rainer Guesthouse. I had to then find a last minute hotel because of this person and property management. Don't waste your time like I did.

The Rainer Guest house was awesome! Located near the Othello station made it easy to get back and forth to the baseball game! Perfect stay, Comfortable Beds, quiet atmosphere.

Loved it. Will stay again.

The room smelled like feet as soon as we walked in. You can smell the bleach and can tell it was recently cleaned but the feet smell really lingers and didn't go away. There was no thermostat to control the room temp, you had to contact the host about that. The room was hot so we opened the window which felt unsafe because the window does not have a screen and it is a ground level room. The kitchen is shared and we couldn't really fit our take-out in the refrigerator until after moving around other people's food. It looked like the refrigerator of someone living there and not a shared space fridge. Check-out was at 11:00 but we felt rushed out of there as someone showed up and started cleaning our assigned bathroom almost an hour beforehand. It was the cheapest room we could find and it definitely felt like it.
