Great vibes, convenient location, clean and tidy. The staff were friendly. DJ night was memorable and the powder at Rusutsu across the street brought me tears of joy!

Bring ear plugs to sleep like you would in any backpackers.

The location was fantastic, a very quick walk to the ski lifts, sacomart and resort building. The staff were all very friendly and open

It was quite loud while sleeping, we understand it’s pods, but the floor was quite loud and people came in and were talking and walking around constantly late at night, it definitely didn’t effect us heaps, we wore earplugs and it was ok. Also the automatic lights were quite jarring at night.

Location is perfect (about 1min walk from Rusutsu ski resort). Beds and facilities were spotless. Staff were pleasant. Linen and towels are provided.

Only a single shower and single toilet, for at least 20-30 guests plus additional staff who live at the venue - was not pleasant. Communal space is limited, so you’re either in your bed or outside the venue. This means socialising was quite difficult with other guests unless we crowded into a single room fitting about 6 people comfortably. Again, there are about 20-30 on site in addition to the staff, who also hang out in that communal room. Heating was absurd and my worst complaint. On the first night the heater in our room of 12 bunks, reached 31 degrees Celsius no matter what we did to try and fix it (using Google translate on the buttons). The windows were also locked shut so no air flow. In following nights we just had the heating off, but then everyone was cold - better than the overheating otherwise though. Staff attempted to help the next day but to no avail. Price was also quite high, paying quite literally 3x what I paid for a much better hostel a week later in Hakuba (another snow resort town with similar demographics) - it seems they’ve pushed it up as far as they think possible for a basic hostel environment. Staff were pleasant but given these experiences I will not be back. This is my first ever bad review on Booking.com but I cannot condone the price for the product delivered.
