Still the cheapest place to stay in Rusutsu. Walking distance to the lifts. As it's a hostel, vibes depend on the people staying - quite a social crew this time was great as I was solo.

The izakaya next door gives a certain barbecue smell to the dorms upstairs...

Close proximity to the resort

They could not accommodate my cancelation less than 1h after booking. Also, could not understand in messages if I could use that night for another day

The bed was super comfy and everyone was really quiet and respectful. The location is bloody great! So easy to access the ski hill and so affordable. FYI make bookings a couple days in advance if you want to go out to dinner.

There is only one shower room for the whole place and there isn't a proper door on the changeroom. There wasn't often lines but I did get walked in on once.

Pretty basic and no frills accommodation, but met my needs in terms of price and location. Only a short walk to ski slopes, restaurants and convenience stores. The capsule was spacious and comfortable enough. It's a hostel after all, so noise is always expected - just bring ear plugs and you'll be fine.

Only 1 shower and 1 toilet, small common area. Not very well ventilated and room tends to get too hot at night, but you're also not allowed to open the window. You get used to the smell of grease after a while

Free space very limited. Guests asked to leave main izakaya front room at 5 pm.
