The Brownwood Hotel & Spa

This hotel is beautiful and the rooms were clean and well decorated with no noise. The staff was extremely attentive and made us feel so welcomed. the breakfast buffet was excellent and was served in a breakfast area which was comfortable and welcoming. The value is perfect. They had a restaurant on the premises as well if needed and served coffee in the morning if we wanted a cup for our room or to take with us during the day. We stayed two days. It was wonderful! We stayed here to attend spring training as well as visit a friend.

The most important thing for a hotel stay is a comfortable bed and a good night's sleep. Everything else is secondary to that although much appreciated. Of course cleanliness is important which would also affect a good night's sleep. Thanks to your 100% polyester, microfiber sheets we had a horrible night and barely slept. I booked 3 rooms that night for my family so we could go to a show in The Villages. We were are all shocked to find this cheap and low quality bedding in this otherwise fine hotel. I purposely booked a hotel rather than an Airbnb because they always use microfiber sheets at vacation rentals these days as an inexpensive trend and I have to bring my own sheets. I never would have thought I had to bring my own sheets to a fine hotel. This was completely unacceptable and if it is a new trend for quality hotels, I will be staying home! Just for information purposes to all potential guests, these sheets are sticky, they don't breath and are made from plastics. We often go to shows in The Villages and will not be using this hotel ever again! I already left a review on Google and will add this one to TripAdvisor with pictures of the sheet labels. Shame on the person or people who made the decision to cut corners on the linens. I'm willing to bet they don't sleep on China microfiber at home.

Great place to stay. Unusual decor and beautiful room. Felt like we were at a ski lodge in the mountains somewhere.
