Rancho Santana

I had a wonderful ride today on a beautiful horse along the beach, through the woods and into town. My guide, Januar, and the trainer, Miguel, were both fantastic!

We’re longtime fans of Rancho Santana, but this review is for a specific activity we recently enjoyed: a cruise on the catamaran Santana. After a 20-minute drive to Gigante, we were met on the beach and whisked out by a local panga to our beautiful boat for the next five hours. It’s new, impeccably maintained, and designed for comfort, with plenty of inviting spots lounge in the sun or shade. We cruised to a sheltered cove with a stunning beach, where we swam and lounged on a raft while the kids went tubing behind the catamaran's dinghy. It was picture-perfect, but honestly, it was the crew who made the day unforgettable. They were warm, professional, and attentive in the best possible way—you’d barely finish your last sip before a fresh drink appeared. And the food was fantastic: fresh ceviche along with tacos, salads, and salsas, including salt-free versions for my husband who has a medical condition. They truly took care of our every need. The only reason this isn’t a full 5-star review is that we didn’t raise the sails. I’m already looking forward to going again and hoping for some true sailing next time. If you’re considering it go. Booking time on this boat is absolutely worth it. Seeing the beautiful Nicaraguan coastline from the water is exceptional and shouldn’t be missed.

Great ocean view from every room in the house. The house is located near many activities provided by the resort. Turtle hatching is a must see. The whole stay was worth every penny. The staff are professional and friendly.

Rancho Santana was unbelievable. The grounds and the accommodations and the staff were top-notch. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. The food was fantastic, we loved the Taqueria every day. We did so many fun activities. we surfed, we went deep sea fishing, we did the sand sledding, and the five beaches tour. The pools are beautiful. The resort was quite empty so it was very relaxing. I highly recommend this resort. We have stayed at the shore club in Turks and Caicos and we enjoyed this better. Nicaragua is a beautiful country and we will be back at Rancho Santana.

I have traveled all over the world and keep coming back to Casa Sueño Santana in Rancho Santana. It is an incredible place of beauty with so much to offer. I highlight was our dinner the other night at La Boquita and our server Luis. A wonderful personality and fantastic meal.

We dined at the Playa Rosara clubhouse in Rancho Santana. The food was fresh and delicious. Our waiter, Luis was excellent. Service was great, he was prompt and friendly. He made sure we were satisfied with everything. We will definitely be back and would be very happy to see Luis again!

I stayed for just one night. When we arrived, the staff was very attentive, helping us with our luggage and offering us a drink and a hand towel. The reservations staff explained everything in detail and made us feel welcome. They also gave us a short tour of the very beautiful facilities. We stayed at The Inn, and our room had a lovely view of the beach. The room was very spacious, nice, and clean. All the staff members were kind and attentive — from the reservations team to the waiters, guides, and housekeeping staff. I really liked that you can contact them via WhatsApp if you need anything. Breakfast was delicious. They offer many activities for the guests, including the 5 beaches tour, which was great, and I highly recommend it. The main pool was under renovation, but that wasn’t a problem since they had another one available. Overall, it was a very nice experience. As constructive feedback, I have a few suggestions: The road from the entrance to the facilities is unpaved — since it’s a resort, I think it should have a better road. It would also be nice to have TVs in the rooms, and I think it would be great to add umbrellas and beach chairs at the beaches. I understand there can’t be too many because of the type of beaches in Nicaragua, but it would still be a nice addition. And most importantly, I found it excessive to charge a $150 authorization hold in case of room damages — even if it’s only an authorization hold, it should be a smaller amount.

Rancho Santana offers an excellent atmosphere to celebrate special occasions, relaxing and enjoying nature. The entire staff are attentive, with hospitality top-notch and their cuisine is delicious. We would like to thank and mention Ronny Calix with his exceptional service. We stayed at the Inn. Rooms are clean and spacious and gorgeous ocean view. We will definitely come back. Gálvez

Our inaugural trip to Rancho Santana in Nicaragua proved to be an exciting adventure, combined with breathtaking natural beauty. It was the perfect pairing of active, fun, and relaxation for our party of six. Set on 2,700 acres, adventure awaits on every corner of this exquisite resort. The five beaches are vastly unique and equally beautiful. Each one draws you in with its natural and rugged beauty. Rancho Santana provides a varied and extensive list of complementary guest activities. We participated in as many activities as we could during our stay. Each activity had a professional and engaging tour guide. These activities were a huge success with our group of six. We had the best time learning more about Nicaragua and the history of Rancho Santana. Guest activities included: Las Cinco Playas Tour, Bird Watching, Nature Hiking, Monkey Scouting, & Beach Bonfire The attentive and friendly staff, along with outstanding amenities such as three pools, great restaurants, a spa, and fantastic guest activities, make this property one of the best we have ever experienced. We are already planning our next trip back to Rancho Santana.

I wish there is a way to give 10 stars!!! We booked with Rancho Santana back in March and everything was well thought of and detailed. Dealing with a large group of different likings is not always easy!! Our group was 13 adults and I must say Javiera Arias from Rancho express no negative emotion with last minute changes or anything with our menu, flights, time or anything! As an airline pilot I come across a lot of different service industries throughout my everyday life and my personal travels, I’ve not seen any customer service topping what Javiera and other Rancho staff provided! Honestly from my heart it’s a lot to write and explain detailed.
