Claremont Hotel

Received a very warm welcome on arrival. Immediately on entering the hotel it was evident that all communal areas such as reception,Entrance hall and bar seating area were all fresh,bright very clean and very tastefully decorated and the soft furnishings n excellent condition . My room which as requested was on the ground floor was perfect in every way with great attention obviously being paid to the matching decor in the room which was delightfully clean modern and in excellent condition. The bed was so comfortable with pristine white bed linen of excellent quality. Big screen TV on wall and although there was a nice tub style armchair in the room after a long day of work I couldn't resist stretching out on the bed and just chillin' for the remainder of the evening! The bed by the way was positioned in exactly the right place allowing me to do so. On the dressing table were a good supply of tea and coffee,glasses and biscuits along with a kettle ,which on checking I found extremely clean and of a modern design. The 'bathroom' was in fact a very good sized shower room complete with fresh,clean towels and complimentary toiletries and was clean throughout. The bedroom also had a full length mirror which to me personally was a very helpful and thoughtful addition. I cannot fault the Claremont Hotel in Any way and I've visited many hotels and B/B ,this Hotel is up there with the rest and is not one of a chain of faceless establishments but is Family run and from my experience of my visit is a source of pride and achievement in what they have built up and continue to excel in making guests feel comfortable and enjoy a lovely stay. I have not tried the breakfast yet which by the way is included in the room price unlike some large corporate hotels which often now add as extra cost. But from what I hear it's also excellent! I shall add my experience of that tomorrow.

Stayed here recently and quite a few times over the years and there have been no issues. Staff are lovely, room was fine, comfortable and clean, breakfast good, nothing really to complain about. Perfectly adequate and reasonably priced hotel.

The with Satnav wasn’t easy to find but that might be down to me. The hotel owners were friendly and informative. The hotel was clean, comfortable with good WiFi. I had a good nights sleep with no unwelcome noise.I never stayed for breakfast as I was up early after stopping one night. Car parking off the road was adequate and I couldn’t argue at the price.

Very good size room enough windows to open, parking on site, breakfast and staff was amazing. Unfortunately I’m a light sleeper and we had a room at the front where there is a main road.

They kindly upgraded my room from a single to a twin and found a safe place for my bike. The breakfast was good, apart from a couple of slices of toast which were burned black on 1 side - how could they serve this!!? It would also have been nice to have been asked if I wanted a 2nd pot of coffee. My main gripe was with the cleanliness of the room: I found a plastic female self-pleasuring toy in 1 corner, its graphic packaging in the other. What if kids had been staying? I thought that with Covid more cleaning would have taken place - but not even the basics! Also, the bathroom above mine leaked water into mine and my bed mattress slanted to the left. The morning I left, after showering, the door opened and cleaning staff walked right into my room. Incredible comedy of errors all round!!

Very asertive and nice staff! Room changed very quick after I have mentioned that I m doing night shifts and next the to road is noisy! Good breakfast!
