didn't eat there, ate in Harrisonburg instead. the food did smell excellent, and the restaurants looked clean; my kids just wanted the basic pizza and burgers. I LOVED the mountains and wildlife; the deer were everywhere and friendly and there were groundhogs too. Even though we went in the summer, there were SO MANY FUN EVENTS FOR KIDS! there were at least 4 pools, several badminton tables, basketball courts, racquetball and volleyball courts and curling too. there was a movie night, craft classes, pottery classes, ropes, putt putt, a petting zoo and pony rides, a magic show... and so much more. There were adult events too like wine tasting, golfing and art classes. there was also a huge outdoor water park.

These issues were addressed satisfactorily, but the unit I stayed in was rather older (Shenandoah Villages) and had many steps; I should have asked for a lower level, and they would have accommodated me. This condo still was a great deal, and I would go again; it was clean, spacious and had all the basics. We also didn't have an oven, but there was a stove top and a toaster oven; a few items could have been better like internet access, but this also is being addressed as we speak. The toilet ran after flushing but was fixed.

Absolutely beautiful area and the price was an exceptional value. The resort offered so many options for the stay with different rooms, buildings, and areas. At least 3 swimming pools, indoor waterpark, outdoor waterpark and ponds. One of the coolest things we experienced was while driving the deer walked up to us like a family pet. It was pretty insane for my fiancé who likes to hunt. We are thinking about actually getting married at this location. When we arrived everyone was super friendly including the manager, the reception desk, and others. They were holding a conversation about traveling to Vegas that was tasteful, and great for building/retaining relationships. Manager seems to understand the importance of retention. I have been in hospitality for 25 years, so if there were misses, I would have spotted them a mile away. The room was nicer than expected as well. Two floors, two balconies and two jacuzzi tubs. My fiancé and I are going back in 3 weeks. Our trip cost us less money than if we went to the Poconos by half, and we stayed two nights. Typically the Poconos is our go-to, however, I used to got o Massanutten years ago. I decided we needed a change and I am so thankful we did. This place put PA to shame. The place has truly built up since 12 years ago too, I noticed. When owners put money back into their business it shows me they believe in their brand. Great job Massanutten.!
