Círculo Mexicano, a Member of Design Hotels

Amazing hotel! Rooms were so pretty and comfrotable and the staff were really lovely and friendly. It is right in the heart of the centre - but the hotel feels peaceful - a great place to chill out aftrer a day of sightseeing.

Beautiful design (rooms and rooftop). The craftsmanship was quality not cheap. The rooms had high ceilings, quality custom lines, soundproof windows, good AC, a safe, fridge, mini bar and a nice deep closest. Cleaning was daily with fresh towels. Lots of lights, a nice TV, we slept like babies. The rooftop was smartly designed as a multi use area. It had a pool, bar, sauna, hot tub, fir pit, restaurant and bathrooms. The views of the church and square were wonderful. The daily breakfast was a highlight. A great multi course breakfast with bottomless coffee and many menu items to choose from. The wait staff were very attentive. The hotel has many shops and is close to all activities that leave from central area.

We spent a lot of time in the other areas with better eating out options (Condesa and Roma). So a hotel in Central area was not ideal because we needed taxis. But this is not the hotel's fault. We knew this when making the reservation. The pool was too cold to swim in when we arrived but after a few days it warmed up. A heated pool could mean more use for guests during the cooler months. It would have been good to have more sun loungers (only 4) and add some umbrellas so you can easily move between shade to sun on the same chair.

The Room lighting was too dark at night. We literally had to use our phone flaslight to be able to pack items in our luggage

The hotel has a great location, right across from the Cathedral and near a lot of fun pedestrianized streets. The room was comfortable, although we found the platform for the bed a little disconcerting - easy to trip in the night. The rooftop restaurant was a lovely place to have breakfast, and the breakfast itself was excellent.

Aside from some concern about the platform, we also would have liked to have more water. We were given one bottle, and used it up in the night. Two bottles for two people would be better.

The room was nice, but our room was connected to the room below via a vertical shaft (presumably for light) so that we could see into and hear the room below. We found this aspect to be unacceptable. Beyond the lack of privacy and noise, the bed was comfortable, the staff were incredibly helpful, and the roof and breakfast each morning were a highlight.
