My wife and I checked in to this "hotel" on August 6, and were supposed to stay for a week, while visiting family we have not seen since pre-COVID, and left within 24 hours. Upon check in, the manager (who has since been fired) was very rude, and lacked all signs of decorum. We finally got checked in, and got to the room, and every single thing about the room was disappointing. There no dust sweep on the door, and anyone who knows anything about SC summers knows we were dealing with pests non-stop. Half the lights in the room worked, but the bed was stiffer than a concrete slab, the walls were practically painted with mold, and the bathroom mirror fixture was ready to fall off (probably trying to make a run for it, like we did!). We understood there were long-term tenants on site, and expected some noise, but it was as if someone was throwing a house party and we missed our invite. Also, while it's not necessarily the hotel's fault, the fire trucks and police racing up and down the highway all night was the perfect cherry on top of an already dreadful stay. That's not even the worst of it. We spoke to the former manager, and he had promised a refund via the accounting office, since we paid cash and he was too dense to take a credit card for incidentals, even after I offered one up, having worked in hotels myself for over a decade. Weeks passed, and we never received our check, so we spent 3 more weeks trying to get a hold of *anyone* on the property, to no avail. Finally, we reached a regional/floating GM who happened to be on site for the day, and she was, surprisingly, very nice, and directed us to Rebecca Cummins, the regional director, for our refund. We called, and emailed, and finally got word from Rebecca that our refund would be in the mail ASAP, and all the apologies and platitudes you would expect. Here we are, another month later, still with no refund, so they get our honest review. Maybe that will get them moving? Doubtful, honestly.

The neighbors were screaming and moaning in pain and crying very loud. Police were called and management notified with no resolution. There is blood and mildew on the shower curtains, absolutely disgusting place. Can't reach Corporate by phone or mail to see about any type of refund since we had to leave after 1 or 2 nights. Suspected drug activity on the property, among other issues that people were dangerous that were staying there. Feared for our lives and very upset at the lack of contact with Corporate. The manager Harry, is horrible.

I stayed at the hotel for 3 months while on a business trip. Room was somewhat clean and offered a kitchen. Air conditioners need to be updated. The one in my room went out and the drunk courtesy officer came to my room, said he didn't know how to fix it, told me it wasn't that hot in my room and I'd be ok. I had to find another worker and she let me take the air conditioner out of another room and install it myself into my room to get me through the night. Maintenance is a joke and cleaning is pretty much on you. For the price it's the best hotel in town if you need an extended stay in a budget.
