Had the experience of our life at Izumi’s beautiful place. Izumi was the perfect host - kind, communicative and friendly. He shared helpful tips about Nikko and the hikes around it, and even gave us a ride to and from the train station. The location is very convenient- about 10 minutes ride from the main train station, and 7 minutes walk from the bus station leading to the lake area. The room was beautiful, flawless and spacious, with a terrace facing a forest and a stream. We even saw deers! The amenities were great, the toiletry kit was luxurious. Izumi made fresh and super tasty breakfast every morning. Loved every moment of our stay, wish we could stay longer, and already planning our next stay at Izumi’s heaven.

La gentillesse et la disponibilité d'Izumi-san. La qualité des petits déjeuners préparés maison. Le lieu est calme et bien que légèrement excentré de Nikko, il y a un arrêt de bus non loin. Izumi-san nous a gentiment récupérés et déposés à la gare avec nos valises.

A great place to stay! Izumi-san was the host who goes above and beyond. The breakfasts (we chose the Japanese breakfast) was delicious; he explained what each item was which was both helpful and interesting. He picked us up and dropped us off at the train station upon arrival/departure, and also offered to drive us a few times to various spots for day trips, and eating in town. The location was great for us as it is on a quiet road with nature all around. We saw a lot of monkeys one day from our balcony which was fun. Thankyou Izumi-san!

Wir werden unseren Aufenthalt bei Herrn Izumi nie vergessen – es war der perfekte Einstieg in unsere Japanreise. Herr Izumi ist mit Herzblut bei der Sache und der perfekte Gastgeber. Das japanische Frühstück war exzellent und das Zimmer mit Blick auf den Waldbach unvergesslich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können das B&B wärmstens empfehlen!

Izumi Nikko is a special place to stay. The room has a view over woodland and a stream we saw a deer peacefully strolling through. The town is not far away and Izumi was so kind and helpful with lifts. The futons were really cosy - especially after coming in from the cold. Breakfast was really good , very generous helpings The bath was very relaxing after a hike through the countryside which is a must as Nikko and the lake area are busy but the walks ( maps provided at info spots) are beautiful. Thank you Izumi

Izumi-san is a wonderful host who is responsive and helpful. He gave great advice about visiting nearby attractions. Both the Japanese and American breakfast were simply wonderful. The location of the accommodation was close to the shrines. Highly recommended!

Bed was a bit hard but this may be subjective.
