Golden Bay Hotel by Marine Parade

I was at the Golden Bay Hotel on April 16th. Kimberly was excellent and made the check in process smooth and painless. She explained everything before I could ask for anything including explaining about the wifi, how to reach the front desk and restaurant. She had the breakfast information ready and all in all it was a silky smooth process checking out as well. Thank you Kimberly on a job well done!!

Convenient location to stay the night before catching a ferry to the Cayes. The roof top restaurant was delightful for both dinner and breakfast. The bed was super comfortable. We had a great night's sleep.

There was construction right outside our window so I'm glad we weren't trying to relax in our room during the day.

Golden Bay is by far a laidback experience. phenomenal service. Check-in was smooth. Coming in from the flight, we were greeted by hotel staff who took us to the hotel. A quiet luxury atmosphere the staff does an excellent job and keeping your room clean. Shaheda was very professional. Her professionalism was by far the best I’ve seen. Shaheda made you feel like family. I’m a foodie so I would say experiencing flavorful foods is a staple of theirs. The steak by far was amazing followed be the sea food gave your taste buds an experience of Caribbean life. The atmosphere was amazing on the rooftop the breeze complemented the temperature . So if you get a chance Give Gold Bay a stay and see for yourself.

This is a very clean, modern hotel with up-to-date amenities. I was only staying one night to catch my flight the following day, but it was very comfortable. There is an excellent rooftop restaurant with full views of the city.

The bathroom is beautiful, but they have these low flow shower heads installed, so you literally get a drizzle of water. The bathrooms in this place look like a spa, but without any water pressure, you’re just hoping you can rinse off the soap!

Great hotel with an amazing restaurant! On arrival we thought we were in the middle of nowhere but after a bit of exploration, we found another couple of nice bars & restaurants nearby. Also a lovely coastal walk to the port where you can catch the ferry to San Pedro & Caye Caulkner. (Takes about an hour). 2 or 3 days is enough unless you want to do several day trips to the Cayes. Similarly you could use this hotel as a base to do day trips to Altun Ha Mayan ruins or a few others but you would have a bit of a journey for some. The rooftop restaurant is brilliant - fabulous food, drinks & an outside terrace with wonderful views over the Caribbean. Also very reasonably priced. I

I stayed at Golden Bay Hotel the 1st day and the last day of my trip to Belize. Rooms both times were quiet, beds were comfortable, AC worked great. Windows even open if that's what you prefer. The front desk person, Orlando, was there both times. Extremely efficent, knowlegable and pleasant. He was able to help me with every question I had. There is a store in the same building. Kind of a department store, not much food for sale. Although there is a small cafe just inside the store. They were kind enough to exchange USD to Belize dollars for me. Shuttle drivers were prompt, and cars were clean. Would stay there again if I ever return to Belize!
