Bear Creek Inn

Second time my daughter and I stayed here and we love it. We love the location and how its right on a creek. We actually saw a bear a couple times this time which was exciting. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable.

The place was fine. Location was quiet and the creek behind it helped with sleep. I did have what i was told, a bear sniffing around my motorcycle and left some paw prints on it. Got muddy prints but no scratches.

This was our second stay here and we enjoyed it very much. It's in a good location and close to everything in downtown Gatlinburg with easy in and out sccess.

The pillows are abysmal - flat and floppy. The bathroom floor is covered in mud caked into corners and streaks of dirt everywhere. The balcony door screams when you open it and has holes in what appears to be paint that they used to cover the glass. Usually, non-smoking places are cleaner, and you would expect that with the strict rules on smoking here (the only place you can is under the canopy in front of the office on the ground level on a broken bench), but not even. The TV is mounted poorly, tilted to look at the floor. You have to bring your own dirty linens to the front desk if you need replacements instead of housekeeping keeping house. The only saving grace is the balcony.

I paid for the reservations when I booked. As it got closer to time to travel, the app showed that I would have to pay $100 at the motel. When I arrived the lady charged me $160.00… when I enquired about the additional $60, she was very short and rude. Would not explain where that addition fee came from. All she would say is that is the price. That place was not worth what it cost with all the additional fees

It is an older property, but it’s very clean. There was some mold on the ceiling over the shower, but no bugs. We saw a huge bear right in front of the doors on the bottom level.
