Courtyard by Marriott Penang

Enjoyed my short stay here. Everything from the room to facilities was good. Walking distance to local delights and attractions. Staff were polite and special mention to Jia Cheng (reception) and Majinur (housekeeping) for being so helpful and courteous.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is perfect—right in the center, close to everything. The food was excellent, and I really enjoyed spending time in the sauna and swimming pool after a day of exploring. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. A special mention goes to Govan, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect during my stay. His kindness and professionalism truly stood out—thank you, Govan, for your exceptional service!

Staff was friendly. Rooms were not large but adequate in size and very clean. Place looks updated not rundown. Hotel slippers were nicer than most hotels. Buffet breakfast good value with access to healthy choices like salad, cooked vegetables, oatmeal, eggs, fresh fruits

Been there for a quick getaway to Penang after a year of not returning. We got a nice connecting room as I was traveling with my small family. We ordered from the in-room dining menu on the first night, and the food was delicious. Breakfast during the weekend was crowded, but everything was well managed by the team, from the manager to the chefs. Special compliments to Chef Loon for the excellent and prompt service, and also to Ganesan (I believe he’s a doorman) who was very proactive and helpful at the restaurant during breakfast. Thank you for the warm hospitality, we’ll definitely be back again!

We had another great stay at the Courtyard in Penang. The room was very very clean and well attended too during our 7 night stay. Was interesting discussing with the Manger about the future improvements happening at the hotel. The staff are very courteous and helpful and Ganeson was always welcoming and very hospitable. Will definetly stay there next year.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. Rooms were great too, had the interconnecting rooms.

Stayed for 2 nights last week. 3rd time staying here, and all my stays in the past few years have been pleasant. Rooms are clean, comfortable. Base room is slightly on the smaller side, but for solo trips is perfect. Everything works fine. Bathroom is well equipped. Swimming pool area is a nice place to sit and relax, if needed. Staff are attentive and prompt. Close proximity to heritage area of Georgetown. On site basement parking is available, and there is a restaurant (if anyone needed one, as there's an abundance of other eateries around Georgetown that is within 5-20 minutes from the hotel. Price have slowly crept up over the years, and it is on the "higher" scale compared to other hotels in Penang. But it is a good "cheap" option if anyone needs to be faithful to the Marriott brand, as there are other pricier Marriott properties in Penang.
