Shikinosato Hanamura

The food was very good and very fresh, unlike other ryokans we have stayed at, the whole menu also changes for every meal - breakfast and dinner. Serving staff are also friendly and helpful. The private onsen was also very good. The room and toilet are clean :)

The water pressure from the shower head was not very strong, but other than that, everything was amazing.

Room was very spacious. There were 3 heaters in the room, so definately warm enough to anyone's liking if you needed. Room onsen was nice. Food was in a private dining room for dinner and breakfast. There was a very nice lounge to relax in as well. There is a public cave onsen that was quite special. In winter, roads may have snow and need to be wary if driving in.

Slight distance to the main Kurokawa Onsen town, not walkable, but only a short drive down.

We are so pleasantly surprised that the hotel prepared the room (clothing and shoes) according to the occupants.

We absolutely loved everything about this peaceful ryokan—the beautiful grounds, the delicious Kaiseki meals, the relaxing onsens (both private and public), the clean and comfortable room, and the incredibly kind staff. A standout feature was the private dining room assigned to each guest room, which added an extra touch of exclusivity and charm.

Room was nice with own bath. Good size and amenities. My 12y old given child’s meal which was insufficient and she was served adult food at all other ryokans we stayed in. The food was nice but not spectacular. Staff polite but lacked warmth. Very corporate.

Clinical vibe. We stayed in kurogawa onsen area last year (north of this ryokan) with the same cost. This place is sub par. Onsen is just so so. All in all it is overpriced fwiw.

Very patient & helpful staff, even have problem with communicate, they still able to solve our problems. The dinner and breakfast was excellent, I would give 5 stars.

Check in and check out time too short for us to stay. Can't really enjoy
