The rooster the kept waking me up and the busy road.

The location of the property is ideal for us as we visit family regularly and they live near by. The walk into town is very nice for a good leg stretch and it’s not too far. The kitchen was well equipped, should you want to use it. The room was clean and tidy and a selection of teas and coffees available.

We previously stayed in room number 3 but due to the tiny bathroom with a folding door, therefore no privacy, upgraded to a larger double, room No. 2 Upon entering the room was bright, clean and tidy. The bathroom was clean and there was a solid door, much better! However the room was very narrow. The toilet roll was on the back of the toilet, anyone with a back difficulty would struggle to get it, as there was no holder. There was a heated towel rail. Useful! There was no shelving in the bathroom for toiletries and only a small mirror. In the bedroom, there was a wardrobe rail with plenty of hangers. A small coffee table with a large kettle that didn’t fit under the tap in the bathroom, an arm chair and that was that, oh a hair dryer, useful! There was no where to put toiletries or any other items. There was no additional mirror to use should someone be in the bathroom. If you washed your hair you had to dry it blindly, as no mirror. The socket was deep down in the floor and the power cable was not long enough, so no only did you have no mirror to style you had to bend over! The bedside units were teeny tiny! With a lamp on it, but no room for anything else. So the lamps got moved to the floor. There were no sockets next to the bed for phone charging, only one besides the arm chair or besides the wardrobe, meaning you’d have to charge your phone on the floor, risking standing on it as it was so close to the bedroom door. There was a lovely bay window, unfortunately the blinds do not close properly, empty curtain holes but no curtains. The room gets very bright very early. The windows are not that sound proof! The road is very noisy, all hours!

The property is nicely kept, clean and in principle comfortable. You may use a fully equipped kitchen and sitting room with tables at the back of the house which is a bit cooler than front side, where our room was. The fridge was still containing stuff that presumably was left by former guests and did not smell so good.

The room was really hot, opening the windows was necessary. The location of the house is on a very, very busy street with noisy traffic during the day and alas also during the night! We did not sleep well due to the noise and started the new day already tired. The queen size bed was small and for taller people the beds are not long enough. The bathroom was also very tiny with a tiny wash basin. Brushing your teeth without splashing on your feet is a challenge.

The room was comfortable and clean. Check in procedure was easy. Kitchen facilities good, especially for a longer stay.

Very tidy, clean and efficient set up. The room I stayed in was very small, but clean, comfortable and perfect for one. Complimentary tea and coffee provided. Does the job if you're just looking for somewhere to sleep.
