Hotel Alfa

A few hours before arrival I got a call from the Hotel that I was moved to another hotel, without reason. When I arrived at the property there was no one at the reception, I had to call and got my keys from a keysafe, which is ok. But also the next day there was no one at the reception, the hotel seemed deserted. The wifi had a very bad reception, the room had no character and bedding was cheap. No ‘DO NOT DISTURB‘ signs available. On the day of the check out, I was woken up at 9.00 by the cleaning lady knocking on the door asking when I would leave, check out time was suppose to be at 11.30k!

Well, the price was good. Bathroom, towels and the bed/bed sheets were clean.

Neighbors talked loud on the phone, played music and sung. Also, despite the fact that smoking is forbidden, the entire venue smelled like smoke. The cleanliness in the room was far from perfect also. For example the lights above the bed were obviously not cleaned for a long time and dust was evident. The free WiFi did never connect, so I could not use it, despite the fact that I had two laptops with me. So it could not have been a technical problem with my devices.

The television was not working from day one. Nobody addressed this issue inspite of several reminders on phone. Reception was closed always. You could only meet the cleaning staff for your problems. They were helpless.

There’s no hotel staff present to help you check in. If you arrive at around 9 pm you wont get anyone at the reception. Be prepared to call the management to get access to the room. This isn’t ideal for international clients

Showers and parking - very good

The site showed that we could pay by credit card even showing amex, visa etc but they would only accept CASH. The site showed breakfast available : there is no restaurant and definitely no breakfast at all. Some of the fittings like bath towel handles and one bathroom mirror were detached.
