The location was great.

I booked a room for two at the Bournbrook Inn via Booking.com and was accommodated in Room 14. Unfortunately, the room had a noticeable damp smell, and there was an unpleasant odour in the bathroom, which affected the comfort of our stay. In addition, we were double‑charged. We paid £49.14 through Booking.com, but the hotel also charged £52.65 at check‑in. Although staff members acknowledged the mistake, obtaining the refund has been difficult, with repeated assurances but no resolution. It is disappointing to have to chase a refund for an error made by the hotel. Based on this experience, I would not book this hotel again and cannot recommend it to others. I also advise guests to be cautious when asked to provide their bank card at check‑in, as this is how the unauthorised payment was taken from our account.

Good value and worked really well for the trip we were undertaking. Perfect location, clean and had everything we needed for an overnight stay.

Rooms where clean staff was friendly

Breakfast could be hotter and better coffee like latte cappuccino and there was nobody to hand the key in to when checking out

Great value for money, rooms comfortable and very clean. Easy check in.

Breakfast was a little disappointing. Although unlimited, the ‘continental’ was just cream and toast. No pastries. The hot food was very awkward to uncover and serve yourself.

Location is very convenient for me.

Beds were too soft. Service was not so good at buffet breakfast - had to keep asking for plates, spoons etc
