Hard bed. Exterior door banging through the night. No breakfast as the chef failed to turn up to work

Staff was amazing, bed comfortable , prices are good for food and drink. I only needed it to get ready for an event and sleep,

Great location with parking and easy access to Birmingham via Bournville train station. Friendly and accommodating staff

Mattresses were noisy and the room was not clean - there were large dusty cobwebs, the kettle was dirty and behind the bathroom door was dust and rubbish. The toilet roll holder was behind the toilet and there was no towel rail for a hand towel next to the sink.

Good Food, freindly staff, plenty of parking. Great location for easily getting into and around Brum.

Luckily had read other reviews about the pedestrian crossing beeping. Snore Ear Plugs did a great job blocking this noise out.

Comfortable bed

Mould in bathroom and dirt on the wall, not cleaned to standard. No breakfast available in the morning due to chef not turning up No hair dryer in the room

The shower was good and so is the location.

I’ve stayed here around five times over the past two and a half years while visiting Birmingham for work. Unfortunately, my last two stays have been pretty disappointing. On this occasion, I paid an extra £10 for a late 12pm checkout. However, from around 9:30am onwards, doors were constantly slamming and the general noise level was extremely loud, making the late checkout feel pointless. I’ve never experienced this issue during previous stays. The mattress was also very uncomfortable and felt well past its best. After my last stay, I emailed feedback directly to the hotel because the manager mentioned the property was under new management and welcomed comments. One issue I raised was that housekeeping stacks CLEAN bed linen on the carpeted hallway floor while turning rooms over. Unfortunately, I noticed the same thing again this morning. In my view, this is unhygienic and not acceptable. It’s a shame, as I’ve been a repeat guest for several years, but this will be my last stay.
