Avon Inn

I don't know how to rate it. Excellent customer service Extremely clean Excellent bedding Gives you the feeling of Maybery, staying with Andy Griffith and Aunt Bea Old Victorian house converted into a hotel. But the hotel closes at 8:00pm. No guest services after 8:00pm, No Room Service, No Housekeeping, No staff at all in the building after 8:00pm. No Nothing!!! Just you and the room. You have an actual real metal key that you have to lock your door close. the door doesn't lock automatically behind you. There's no peep hole on the door. The main entrance door to the room is no different than a cheap press board wood door most people have as closet doors with a cheap door handle lock. They give you Zero security comfort. It is a small quiet town where nothing happens so I see their side. .....And no elevator!

Beautiful old mansion. Nice room. Everything we needed. The best part was how kind Ashley was. She made a trying day better.

Check in was very easy and staff was very friendly. Room, although very small, was comfortable. We noticed upon leaving that there were larger rooms so you might ask. The only problem we had was the morning of checkout. We couldn’t find anyone. We wanted some ice for our travel cups and couldn’t find an ice machine or anyone to ask where it was. Very limited dining in Avon. Eat at the inn if they are serving on the day of your stay.

First time at an inn. Won't be the last. All staff very friendly and accommodating. Cute room. Big stair case to rooms but they said have a stair chair but didn't use. Friday night walked a bit and a lot closed and not recover from covid. An historical property. I would have no issue staying there again. They do wedding receptions. Have dining room and bar. Had a drink at bar and nice there too.

The architecture is beautiful. It definitely has the feel of an Inn and not a hotel.

Staff was friendly, interactive, and helpful. Hotel is historic and has a hall with pictures describing renovations, events, and famous individuals who had visited frequently in the past. Rooms were spotless and super cute. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

We stayed at Avon Inn while visiting the area to attend the PGA Championship. The entire experience at the inn was great - the property is nice, staff was wonderful and we had an amazing meal and cocktails in the bar. Would definitely recommend to others.

The staff was excellent. The dinners in the restaurant were great, The room and property was clean. What made the difference was the staff treated you as a guest. it was the best hospitality we have experienced in long while. And yes I would return.

I ended up checking in late, and the staff was so helpful and nice. They left the keys in a lockbox, and texted me detailed instructions. It was a very nice stay.
