"Exceptional"

Excellent quiet and well equipped cottage. Conveniently located with easy access to Devon sightseeing and beaches. Very quaint village with a convenience store and post office. 2 minutes walk to the King's Head pub. Very welcoming with excellent food and ale. Everyone we met in the village was friendly and helpful. Recommend a visit to Sam's Cider brewery too.

It's unfortunate the village cafe the Nook was closed at weekends.

The cottage was delightful. It had everything we needed, it was very clean and comfortable. The parking place was a bonus. The village of Winkleigh was lovely with many thatched cottages and narrow streets. Facilities were also good with shops and an excellent pub in the nearby Kings Arms.

The bedrooms were quite small and the bathroom sink was one of the smallest we had ever seen. That said, the cottage was as described and these comments are minor.

Both humans and dog loved the cottage with wood burner, great location so close to good pub, village shops and woodland walks. On-site parking a real plus.
