Canopy By Hilton Memphis Downtown

We are staying at the canopy at hilton and location is fantastic. Well we think so. Rooms very comfortable and, beds also very comfortable. Staff, all staff have been fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

OMG...What a wonderful experience....So convenient and consistent...From the time we check in with at the front desk to the restaurant,rooms service and the food...Ms. Adrian in the bar/restaurant amazing....I've already told several people about our stay and to book here when they come....FANTASTIC...Can't wait to return...

This property deserves 5 stars for its wonderful staff. Every single person I encountered throughout the week was friendly, professional, and accommodating. Our group had a variety of needs and the customer service we received was outstanding. Well done!

Affordable Luxury in Downtown Memphis. I was in Memphis for one of my Food adventures and decided to try The Canopy near Beale Street. At the time of my booking, the hotel was less than two hundred dollars per night, even with the taxes and charges. The hotel is modern and has much to offer. The lobby and ground floor have a restaurant, a bar, and there is a coffee shop just outside the expansive hotel lobby. The hotel has all of the amenities that you would want, such as a state-of-the-art fitness center with modern fitness and cardio equipment. The rooms are ergonomically laid out and seem bigger than they actually are. The beds are very comfortable, and my king suite came with a long hallway behind the bedroom wall that had a bench, a closet, and a pull-out refrigerator, all in the corridor to the spa-like bathroom. The bathroom was spacious and clean and had an ample supply of towels and toiletries. The only issue I had was that the floor was dirty just beneath the window, and there was some debris on my carpet and floor. I called the front desk, and while I was out and about on Beale Street, housekeeping came and immaculately cleaned not just my floor and carpet but the whole room. One nuance of the hotel that might affect some guests is that Charlie Rendezvous Charcoal Ribs, an iconic Memphis rib spot, is right next door to the hotel. The smoke from the restaurant permeates through the hotel. If you like ribs and the smell of charcoal, you will be fine. If you don't, then be aware that the building's ventilation picks up the smoke and smells from next door.

We recently took a 4 day, 3 night trip to Memphis, TN and stayed at the Canopy by Hllton in downtown Memphis. The checking in process was a bit confusing but the people that were checking us in were pleasant and fun. We got checked in and went up to our room which had two beds, and updated bathroom. The room itself was comfortable and had a view of The Peabody directly across the street. The people that worked in the restaurant portion of the hotel needed some personality. One of the people I was traveling with asked the waitress for some butter for her breakfast order and we waited and waited. I looked over to see where she might be and she was speaking with a girl that was at the register. So figuring she would be right over, we waited a bit more. I ended up getting up to go ask her if she could get us some butter and she handed it right to me. Instead of waiting on the customers first, she thought it would be best to chat with her colleague and let us wait. On one other occasion my friend and I went down for breakfast in the hotel and were sitting next to a couple who had arrived about a half an hour before us. They had placed their order and were waiting. As we were waiting to put our order in, they had questioned the waitress about their breakfast as they needed to get on the road. She went to check and never came back to update the couple. After another 5-7 minutes, the couple left without their breakfast. Our first night's stay the hotel room was cleaned completely with new sheets, towels, coffee cups etc. The second night's stay left us with no clean towels, no clean coffee cups but the beds made. The third we had to ask for clean towels and clean coffee cups at the desk. Upon on checking out of our room, they could not find our charges and printed out a receipt that showed zero balance. That was impossible as we didn't check out and we were pretty sure no one paid for our room. After about 20 minutes of going back and forth, the manager (?) went into another room and came out with our printout. Our other friends checked out and one of the people had a bill charging over $200 more which was in error and another friend's bill was $3.00 more than ours. None of the above mentioned things should happen when you go to a hotel that has the name of Hilton attached to it. It shouldn't happen at any hotel!!!

We recently enjoyed another nice stay at the Canopy Hilton in downtown Memphis. Great location with a wonderful staff. I’d like to give a special shout out to valet Billy, the BEST Hilton representative to welcome guests as they arrive and offer a warm sendoff as they depart. He is an absolute ray of sunshine, helpful in every way, and just pure joy. We look forward to our next stay!
